Suspicion

I couldn't express what I was feeling right now. The moment I saw Chun Yi's face grew pale upon Jin Longwen's question, I felt my heart skipped a beat. It raced painfully in anticipation of her answer.

Perhaps loneliness had exhausted me when Chun Yi had first greeted me back in the convenient store. Hence, I had agreed to have a drink with her. It had been just a casual decision. I hadn't expected anything out of her. I was just feeling in the void.

But now, I was desperate. I was desperate to hear the word "no" rolling out of her lips.

"Did you?" I asked, suppressing the feeling of anger and sadness that were brewing within me. I was trying hard to stay positive despite her expression.

Then, I saw her breathing deeply before raising her head. Of all the expectation, the words that came out of her mouth was, "I can explain."

My heart dropped in that instance. "Why?"

"It wasn't my intention to hurt you."
