Hallan's laugh vibrated through the floor, making the Sir Isan's body shake while he groaned on the floor – coughing and wheezing. Noah was quick to help Sir Isan up off the floor by reaching out with his hand and pulling Isan up from his wrist.
Sir Isan clapped Noah's shoulder before wheezing out, "When did you get this strong? I know I just go promoted and might not have the full strength of a commander but even when I was a captain I was seen as one of the stronger ones. What did Quin put you through?!"
Noah smiled as if he was a child who had stolen a small treat from his family's cookie jar. "Oh, we just sparred every day until I couldn't anymore – it was honestly closer to fights to the death!" Laughing as he said as close to the truth to Isan as possible without mentioning anything about Aurelius and Alaric.
'Life and death sparring – what was Quin doing?! I asked him to train him to be a knight not a weapon. Sigh' Quin's thoughts buzzed through his head as he mentally made a note to scold Quin the day they find wherever he had run off too. "Well seems like he fairly prepared you for being a knight so I don't need to worry about that – Do you want to keep sparing for a while? Or shall we get some breakfast first?" As he said it Noah's stomach rumbled from not eating in a couple of days.
"I think I need to have something to eat, it's been a while. What are you thinking?"
"Well we could go to the canteen or we could go hunting?" As Isan said it, Hallan quickly flicked his tale at his bonded partner and roared at him, knowing that he would be the one to fly them to a decent part of the forest's in the Sil zone.
Isan had recovered enough to easily dodge it but Noah instead chose to grab it like he had earlier because it had come in his direction, he quickly let go after Hallan decided to flap his wing at him creating a strong draft – playing like they were just reminded him of his own bond and how he hadn't seen him in so long.
Choosing to go on a hunt and get some fresh food, Isan told Noah to get onto Hallan's back and get ready to fly off but Hallan was doing his best not to have any of it. Standing up and walking away from Noah and closer to the edge of the floor; when his claws grabbed the edge of the marble like floor he turned to look at Noah who had been walking behind him, 'Come grab a ride if you can boy'
Hallan let himself drop off the edge, head first. Keeping his wings close to his body folded away, slip streaming down the tower. The last thing he expected was for Noah to use magic aura to quickly run and grab Hallan's tail; Hallan let out a roar of laughter at the kid's tenacity and courage to follow him out like this.
He could the kid's magic aura surrounding him as they fell, letting Noah breathe and move like they were falling hundreds of metres in seconds [Hundreds of Feet]. Noah smiled with glee as he fell with Hallan – trusting the dragon to help him if something went wrong, he pulled himself down Hallan until he was at the base of the dragon's tail. They had only been falling a few seconds but for some reason when Noah had started to use his magic aura time felt like it had slowed down enough for him to casually laugh and enjoy the experience.
At the base of Hallan's tail he used his magic aura to help pull himself down the dragon and between his neck and back, feeling the dragon laugh at him as he settled into the saddle that was on Hallan's back – He put a hand on the dragons back connecting them together with his magic and talking to him through the connection, 'Thought you could get away from me like that? You'll need to try better than that to get rid of me.'
'Oh the little monkey thinks he can handle the riding a dragon and being cocky about it?' Hallan joked back to Noah before letting out his wings and rushing up back into the sky past the level of the Dragon Keep that they were on and further into the sky.
'You think a little height will scare me off so easily? I thought you would be better than this!' Teasing Hallan back; going as far as letting go of the dragon's saddle and putting his hands in the sky, yelling out in joy.
Hallan roared before changing tactic, starting to roll over and over as they quickly plummeted to the ground, trying to scare Noah even a small amount would be enough to make this trip out to the forest worth his time.
When Hallan started his rolling Noah had to grab a hold of the saddle quickly so he was sent flying off and to the ground by himself. Screaming out as they twirled faster and faster – reaching speeds Noah had never experienced such forces before and it was making his stomach roll around in flips just as fast.
Levelling out and looking back at Noah on his back Hallan let out a mighty roar as if to say he had won, Noah's legs went numb with the tremors of it. 'Still think I couldn't get rid of you?' The dragon spoke into his head like a child winning an argument.
They flew back to the keep going to pick up Isan so they could go hunting for a meaty breakfast after an action packed morning.
