The clone quickly disappeared from the scene, leaving a satisfied and expectant Olive for more.
Kurama slowly paused his steps for a few seconds after receiving his clone's memories, only to grunt in irritation at the actions of his other self, though he had to admit that Olive was seductive and thirsty for pleasure, which made her a good lover.
"Is something wrong, Kurama-dono?" - Hannyabal asked as he noticed the albino pause.
"No, it's just that I thought I heard something," Kurama replied as he shrugged.
"Possibly it was Sadi torturing the criminals" - replied Domino as she shook her head at her companion's sadistic tendencies.
"What an interesting bunch" - said Kurama as he shrugged his shoulders.
"She's a good girl if you subtract the sadism from her personality" - said Domino as she shook her head.
Kurama didn't say anything after, after all, there was no need to explain himself, not to mention that he had nothing against sadism, not when he and Anko were sadistic bastards.
* * * * *
"It's here, the maximum-security room" - Hannyabal said as the group reached a huge metal door - "This is where the most dangerous criminals are kept, or in this case, the most valuable ones."
"It's made of [Kairoseki]" - said Kurama while stroking his chin - "Interesting, by the way, I'm still curious to know about the reason why they accepted this proposal of mine."
"Because there is no reason to refuse" - replied Hannyabal while shaking his head - "There is no connection between [Amazon Lily] and [Fire Fist] Ace, and the higher-ups don't think you guys would put yourselves in danger for an unknown person either."
"That's a good point" - Kurama nodded as the huge gate opened, revealing a huge darkroom.
"Is it time for lunch, or are you coming to spit in my face?" - A male voice asked.
"No, we've come to escort a certain special person who wants to talk to you" - Domino said disdainfully as the room lit up slightly, revealing the silhouette of two people, a young adult with black hair, and a slightly fat shark-like man.
"Visitors? Strange, that shouldn't be possible unless they're one of those bubble-headed bastards" - said the black-haired man with disdain.
"Better keep quiet, kid, we need you alive, so we can cut out your tongue if you talk too much" - Domino replied neutrally while shaking her head.
The shark-like man slowly looked up, only to be surprised to recognize the person they had escorted - "What's the emperor doing here?"
"Emperor?" - repeated the black-haired man as he frowned, after all, that title was special to him, and not just anyone had the right to call himself that - "He?"
"The [Sea Knight] Jinbe, what a surprise to see you in this picturesque place" - Kurama said sarcastically upon seeing one of the [Shichibukai] in this lonely place.
"The same could be said about you, I thought you would be with your wife" - replied Jinbe with the same sarcasm.
"Normally it would have been like that, but let's just say that the [World Government] made us an offer we can't refuse, and Hancock is in no condition to move for personal reasons" - answered Kurama calmly.
Domino and Hannyabal were silent because this information was new.
They had heard that Hancock would not be mobilized, but still did not explain why, and now Kurama's words left a few clues.
"Why couldn't Hancock mobilize?" - Hannyabal wondered as he began to think of hundreds of possibilities, only to frown as none seemed to make sense.
"Is that even possible?" - Domino muttered in surprise.
Being female, she thought of a possibility that left her frozen, for if correct, then the world would have to worry about a new threat.
"I'd better report this to our superiors" - Domino thought, only to freeze as she noticed how Kurama was looking at her carefully.
"Is something wrong, Kurama-dono?" - Hannyabal asked as he noticed how the albino was looking at his subordinate.
"No, it's nothing" - Kurama replied as he shook his head.
Jinbe seemed to understand what was going on, so he decided to keep silent because his instincts were telling him not to get on the bad side of the man in front of him.
"Anyway, they said you were my visitor" - said Ace, who didn't know how to read the atmosphere - "What did you come to see me for? Just to laugh at my situation?"
"Why would I have to come here to mock you, when I can spend my time with the most beautiful woman in the world?" - Kurama asked disdainfully - "I didn't come for such a stupid reason, I was just curious to know what kind of person the son of the legendary Gol D. Roger would be, and I have to admit that I'm not very surprised."
"Roger is not my father!" - Ace roared fiercely - "My father is [Shirohige]!"
"I'm sorry to tell you that he's not" - replied Kurama as he walked over to the young man and looked him closely in the eyes - "One doesn't decide who our father is, and no matter how we try to hide the truth, that will never change."
". . ." - Ace was silent as he gritted his teeth in fury.
"I can sense a huge hostility towards Roger coming from you, which makes me seriously think whether you're an idiot or not" - Kurama said disdainfully - "Why do you hate your father?"
Ace was silent as he felt his fury growing steadily.
"Was it because he wasn't around during your childhood?" - Kurama asked as he narrowed his eyes - "Was it because of your mother's fate?"
"Silence!" - Ace roared as he glared coldly at the albino, only to feel his back freeze from cold sweat.
"Kid, I don't think you understand the situation very well" - said Kurama as he grabbed Ace by the throat - "I'm not trying to convince you, I'm trying to make you see the reality."
Ace tried to say something else, but Kurama's grip wouldn't let him.
"Etto, Kurama-dono, I wish you wouldn't torture our convict" - Hannyabal said with concern.
"Relax, I don't plan to hurt him" - replied Kurama calmly - "I don't plan to make your job more complicated either, I'm just trying to punish a rude boy".
"I ask you please don't continue, that boy's life hasn't been easy" - said Jinbe while trying to speak for his friend.
"Hasn't it been easy, what part of his life has been much harder than the others?" - Kurama asked disdainfully - "I read a little of your life during my trip to see you, son of Gol D. Roger, and possibly Portgas D. Rouge, though this has not been confirmed. You were under the care of Monkey D. Garp since you were a child, which is why you had a brotherly relationship with his grandson, and current pirate, Monkey D. Luffy, as well as another boy. Since you were little you were unruly, but your life was not bad, when you reached an advanced age, you went into the seas, you became a pirate. After that, your life slowly escalated until you made contact with [Shirohige]'s pirates because you tried to kill him to get his position as a [Yonko], I don't know whether to consider you brave, or stupid."
Ace was silent as he frowned.
"Anyway, [Shirohige] invited you to his crew as one of his sons, and you accepted" - Kurama said as he finished with a question - "What part of your life was difficult?"
Jinbe was silent when he heard this as he tried to think at full speed.
"Tell me, Jinbe, who had a worse life, the son that his parents sacrificed themselves to bring into the world, or one of the lucky few that your former captain managed to save?" - Kurama asked as he looked closely at the [Sea Knight].
"!" - Jinbe was silent when he heard this as he bit his lip.
"Wait, what do you mean my parents sacrificed themselves for me?" - Ace said in surprise as his expression changed drastically.
"Did you think Roger would be captured so easily?" - Kurama asked as he raised an eyebrow - "I don't know Garp, but if he couldn't capture him for so many years, what makes you think he would succeed just when you were about to be born? Besides, who do you think told about you and your mother to Garp so he could take care of you?"
Ace froze when he heard this as he began to think about the past - ". . ."
"As for your mother, it's obvious she made a huge effort" - Kurama said as he looked at the boy - "Hancock informed me about the countermeasures to kill Roger's baby after hearing how they captured you, and god, I have to admit they are sadistic bastards, search all the babies from the different nations just to try to find you, I even investigated a bit more and many of these babies were killed to prevent you from escaping."
