"Rain, sadness, loneliness" - murmured Juvia as she looked up at the cloudy sky - "Will Juvia ever manage to see the sun?"
"Not as long as you keep that melancholic aura" - replied a male voice.
"!" - Juvia was surprised that someone was so close to her without her noticing, after all, that was her work area - "Who are you?"
"Me? I'm just a simple person who wished to meet the person responsible for the rain, though I'm surprised to see that she's just a pretty girl" - the male voice replied.
Juvia ignored the compliment and looked in the direction of the voice's origin, only to see how a handsome white-haired man, was looking at her from the branch of a nearby tree - "I'm going to ask you the question again, who are you?"
"Kurama Uzumaki, a mage from the guild that your friend destroyed" - Kurama replied with a smile - "It's a pleasure."
Juvia's body tensed and prepared to attack, but she was surprised when she saw her hand stopped. She slowly looked towards the source, only to see how the rain had stopped in midair and was forming a whip of sorts - "Amazing."
"It's one of my many talents" - Kurama replied calmly as he made a hand motion.
Juvia braced herself for the attack and closed her eyes as she noticed that the albino had better control with the water, but to her surprise, said attack never came.
She slowly opened her eyes and saw how everything around her seemed to have changed.
The rain was still in the air, but now the drops falling from the sky were gathering and taking the shape of strange water bubbles.
Juvia watched in wonder at the spectacle, as she felt as if she were in a fantasy land.
"The rain isn't as bad as you think" - Kurama said as he noticed how the girl gave him a confused look.
"Really?" - Juvia asked in surprise - "Then why was everyone telling me that rain is bad, and it's a curse that would haunt Juvia for the rest of her life?"
"Because they don't know how to appreciate its true beauty" - Kurama answered calmly as he looked up at the sky.
His body was being covered by the rain as a smile appeared on his face - "The rain is beautiful because it is full of life, thanks to it, plants can bloom, orchards can grow, people can continue to live in peace."
Juvia opened her eyes in surprise because she hadn't thought of that.
It was true, thanks to the rain, society continued to move forward, without Juvia, people would die and water would become increasingly scarce.
"Was Juvia wrong all this time?" - Juvia muttered as she fell silent.
She never thought she would have this kind of conversation with someone from an enemy guild.
"That question, I can't answer it for you," said Kurama as he shook his head, only to notice how the rain seemed to have stopped completely.
Slowly, the clouds began to open up, revealing the sun again.
Juvia watched this in wonder as a small smile appeared on her lips.
"I think you came to an answer" - said Kurama as he raised an eyebrow.
"Yes" - Juvia nodded as she watched as the sky began to cloud over again, only this time, the rain that fell, was not as heavy and depressing as before, but warm, like a summer rain - "Thank you, with this I have understood some things about myself".
Kurama was amazed by this precise control over the weather, only to see how the girl turned around silently with a huge smile.
"Thanks to you, I have managed to recognize a part of Juvia that I had not wanted to see" - Juvia said with a slightly more relaxed attitude - "Thank you, Kurama-sama"
"It's my pleasure to help you" - smiled Kurama, not noticing how the girl was slightly blushing - "Anyway, how come a cute girl like you, is in a group like [Phantom Lord]?"
"Cute? Juvia is cute?" - Juvia asked herself as she turned around, so the albino wouldn't see her embarrassed expression.
"Well, yeah, that's what I said" - nodded Kurama as he looked at the girl in confusion, only to widen his eyes in surprise because he recognized the pattern right away - "Oh shit, not again."
Kurama's clone could only grab the bridge of his nose as he watched the girl give him a confused look.
"Is something wrong, Kurama-sama?" - Juvia asked in confusion.
"No, it's nothing" - replied the clone with a forced smile - "It's good that I helped you, I was just thinking about it."
"Yes, thanks to you, Juvia was finally able to understand herself as well" - replied Juvia while twirling her umbrella - "The rain was a manifestation of my emotions, channeled by my loneliness and suffering during my childhood. I always saw everything in a gray tone, but thanks to your words, I was able to understand a few more things about the color of the world, and maybe it's time to change some things and start anew."
"I see" - Kurama nodded because he honestly didn't expect a few simple words, to have such an effect on the girl, after all, he hadn't said it this way. The clone had only sensed the conflicting feelings the girl had with the rain, as if it was a form of insolation and protection at the same time - "Even though I only gave you a little push, the rest you did all by yourself."
"But I couldn't have taken the first step without your help, that's why Juvia is grateful to you, Kurama-sama" - Juvia replied while getting dangerously close to the clone.
"Oh, I understand" - nodded Kurama with a forced smile because he could tell how the girl was starting to radiate an aura of fanaticism - "Anyway, I think it's time for me to disappear."
"Disappear?!" - Juvia exclaimed in terror as she grabbed the clone's hands - "Did Juvia do something to upset you? If so, then tell me what it is, and I'll change it for you, but please don't leave Juvia!"
"No, that's not what I mean" - Kurama replied with surprise because he didn't expect this kind of reaction from a girl he had just met only a few minutes ago - "What I mean, is that I am a clone made from the energy of my original, which will transfer all my memories when I disappear."
"A clone? Original? Juvia is confused, Kurama-sama" - Juvia replied as she frowned because no matter how much she thought, none of it made sense.
"Ok, this will take a bit of time, so I'll explain it to you calmly" - muttered Kurama's clone as he told her about his technique.
"Oh, I see, does that mean you're just like Juvia's rain?" - Juvia asked with surprise and excitement - "We have a lot more in common than I thought, Juvia is thrilled!"
"Oh, ok, well, I have to go" - said Kurama while scratching his cheek.
"Where can I find you, Kurama-sama?" - Juvia asked as she made puppy dog eyes.
"Well, you can find me at the guild, I spend a lot of my time there" - said Kurama as he shrugged his shoulders.
Juvia's expression changed when she heard this as she looked seriously at the albino - "I recommend you leave [Fairy Tail], Kurama-sama, [Phantom Lord] is about to make his move."
"I'm sorry, but I can't just leave them like that, it's not my style" - Kurama replied while shaking his head.
"Again, I ask you to stay away from that guild, it's dangerous for you to be there for the next few days, so at least just take a mission, so at least you'll be safe" - Juvia said while looking worriedly at the white-haired man.
"Ok, I'll take that into consideration, although if I'm honest, I'm not promising anything" - replied Kurama while shaking his head.
"Please take my warning into account, see you soon, Kurama-sama" - said Juvia as she left with a frown on her face because it was obvious that she didn't want to leave the white-haired man behind.
Kurama watched as the girl retreated silently as he thought about how he had brought new problems into his original's life, after all, this girl, Juvia, seemed to be the same type as Tohru, a girl who had a strong, almost obsessive love.
"Anyway, I better let the original take care of this, after all, it's his concern" - the clone said as he let out a laugh before disappearing in a curtain of smoke, not noticing how a drop of water was floating nearby, seeing how the albino was no longer in the place.
"It was true" - Juvia muttered from a distance - "Well, never mind, it wasn't as if I expected to find where he lives so soon, though it's a pity."
Juvia left for real this time as she smiled at the thought of that strange man who had helped her despite knowing she was from an enemy guild.
