Extra 15: Dragon & Dragon Maids (43)

"It happened what I feared" - muttered Mavis as he watched Gray, Loke, Natsu and Happy, directly encounter the biggest danger of this island.

"I wasn't expecting this surprise" - said Zeref as he looked at the wizards in front of him, especially the pink-haired boy - "Natsu."

"How do you know my name?" - Natsu asked with a frown as the others stood on guard.

Zeref didn't answer this question, he just shifted the target of his gaze to Loke - "[Celestial Spirit] Leo, I haven't seen you in ages."

"Zeref" - Loke growled as the others widened their eyes, surprised with the current situation, after all, it didn't look like they were joking.

"You're Zeref!" - Natsu exclaimed in surprise as he narrowed his eyes - "You don't look like anything I thought, I was expecting a decrepit old man!"

Zeref frowned, but said nothing in response.

"Stop insulting the most powerful dark wizard in history, you idiot" - Gray growled as he looked closely at the black-haired man in front of him.

"I can feel the growing hatred inside you, I guess I have hurt you in one way or another, though I honestly don't care" - Zeref replied as he shook his head and prepared to leave the island, after all, he didn't need to be in this place anymore. He had only come to observe from a distance the place where the spirit of his beloved rested.

"Are you planning to escape?" - Natsu asked with a huge smile.

"Escape?" - Zeref muttered as he narrowed his eyes - "I don't think you understand the situation, I'm not escaping, I'm just sparing your lives."

Zeref was trying to be as civil as possible, but at the same time he was starting to feel a huge headache - "Ugh."

"Stand back!" - Loke exclaimed in terror because he recognized what was about to happen, after all, he had seen it before - "Quickly!"

"Get away from me!" - Zeref roared as he fell to his knees.

Natsu felt a small pain in his heart at the sight of the dark wizard screaming in pain, but he followed Leo's instructions.

The group quickly backed away, only to have a huge curtain of black fog surround Zeref's body after a few seconds, creating a powerful wave of dark magic.

"Argh!" - the dark mage's roar of pain echoed in place as his eyes began to glow a deep crimson color.

"Oh, this is bad" - Kurama said as he looked at Lucy - "Go to the old man, I'll take care of a certain problem that just appeared."

"Huh? Oh, ok" - nodded Lucy as she ran towards the hallway through which Kana had exited.

Kurama quickly got up and disappeared from the place, only to reappear in front of the group - "Interesting, you're the person who saw us arrive in this dimension".

The white-haired man quickly found how similar the dark aura of the black-haired man was.

Zeref looked with growing hostility at the man in front of him, mostly because after a bit of research, he discovered that he was a threat equal to or greater than Acnalogia.

"Cursed for all eternity, watching everything around you wither and unable to touch what you cherish" - Kurama said as he noticed something in the stranger's aura.

The hostility in Zeref's eyes intensified as his aura became increasingly erratic.

"Hit the nail on the head?" asked Kurama disdainfully as he appeared in front of Zeref with his hand outstretched.

Zeref sensed the danger and quickly disappeared from the scene.

Kurama frowned when he saw how his opponent had disappeared from the island, so he quickly looked back, noticing how Gray and Loke were looking at him with surprise while Natsu had a blank stare.

The Uzumaki looked at Natsu with a frown as he noticed a small detail, inside the boy there seemed to be a strange mixture of energies that were interconnected, but counteracting each other.

Kurama could be sure that in the future this would be lethal to the pink haired boy, but there was no way he could figure out why, at least for the moment.

"I think we'd better get on with the test," Gray said as he let out a sigh of relief that Zeref had disappeared.

Kurama was about to nod, when he heard the sound of an explosion in the distance - "Great, the problems continue."

"What do we do, Kurama-san?" - Loke asked with a frown.

"I'll see what it's all about while you guys get ready because something tells me that things are more complicated than we thought" - replied Kurama as he disappeared from the place.

"Are you okay, Natsu?" - Happy asked as he flew around his father.

"Yeah, I'm just confused" - Natsu replied regretfully - "I feel like I already knew that man, Zeref, but I don't understand why I feel that way."

Gray gave his friend a look before shaking his head.

"Master!" - Lucy exclaimed as she ran to the old guild master, and see as beside her stood Mirajane, Lissana and Juvia - "Girls!"

"Lucy? Where's Kana?" - Mirajane asked in surprise.

"She's doing the second part, I had to stay behind because of Kurama's test" - Lucy answered honestly.

"You two faced Kurama-sama? I'm so jealous!" - Juvia exclaimed as she bit her lips.

"I think you're focusing on the wrong part" - said Lissana as she felt a huge amount of sweat running down her forehead.

"She's right" - smiled Lucoa as he walked next to Elfman and Levy, who were perspiring from the ordeal they had endured.

"I see my younger brother suffered at your hands, Lucoa-san" - said Mirajane as she watched her younger brother, falling to his knees and breathing heavily - "What was that you did?"

"Simple, I just made them endure my aura for a few seconds" - replied Lucoa innocently.

"Those seconds were eternal" - replied Levy with difficulty.

"It wouldn't be a test if it was easy" - smiled Lucoa as her expression changed to a serious one - "Ok, let's leave the jokes for another time, now we have to take care of certain unwanted guests."

Makarov and the others, looked at each other, confused with the blonde woman's words, at least until they saw how a huge explosion in the distance.

"That dark magic" - muttered Makarov, terrified with his thoughts - "Shit, it's in the direction where Natsu and the others went!"

"Master" - muttered Mirajane as she looked carefully in the direction of the sea, and watch as a group of 5 people approached along with a person Makarov recognized immediately.

"Master Precht?" - Makarov asked in surprise, as he wasn't expecting to see his old guild master.

"It's been a while, Pipppoco" - said Hades with a huge smile - "How have you been, boy?"

"Fine, but what are you doing here?" - Makarov asked, but his expression changed when he saw the mark on the old man's armor - "Impossible."

"Well, the cat's out of the bag" - Hades' smile grew slightly as he spread his arms - "I present myself, I am Hades, leader of [Grimoire Heart]! And I'll be the last thing you see, fairies of [Fairy Tail]!"

Makarov's expression changed drastically as his body grew exponentially - "I'm not going to let you hurt my children, Hades!"

"Quite a change of attitude" - Hades said sarcastically - "Anyway, it's time to start with the operation, and as far as I can see, Zeref really is on this island!"

"I knew it, that dark magic could only be his" - growled Makarov as he asked the young mages to stand behind him.

"Sorry for the delay, master" - Erza said as she walked behind one of the trees - "I thought I heard something that distracted me."

"You come at a good time, Erza, we have to defend our sacred land" - replied Mirajane as she changed into her [Satan Soul] form.

"An impressive dark aura, young fairy, it's a pity you're on the wrong side" - Hades muttered regretfully.

"I'm on the right side, next to my family" - replied Mirajane neutrally as she started to control her magic.

"No, you're on the wrong side" - denied Hades as he looked at the girl - "If you were in the right place, you would have already explored your full potential, but that's not the case".

"Less talk and more action!" - exclaimed a spiky blond young man with a wild look - "We still have to find Zeref-sama!"

"Hmm, you're right, we can't keep our lord Zeref waiting" - Hades muttered as he snapped his fingers.

The dark wizards were poised and ready to attack, but their group's expression changed when they saw a strange white-haired man appear in front of them.

"Interesting, I didn't think that the former group of Ultear, were the ones responsible for all this chaos" - said Kurama with a small smile.

"Oh, you know our traitor?" - Hades asked as he narrowed his eyes in annoyance, after all, he wished to find her apprentice to teach her that you can't escape from [Grimoire Heart] alive.

"Oh, I know her very well" - replied Kurama as his smile grew slightly.
