A week later, [Samsara] was up and running.
The new inhabitants were excited about this new life, more so now that their pasts were not haunting them.
Kurama sat on his throne, listening to reports from the police force he had brought into the world, but the irony of the situation, was that the policemen were none other than the criminals who had come to the city for a second chance.
The "god" Kitsune knew that the people who knew the criminals best, were the criminals themselves, so after "evangelizing" them, he put them to work, and to the surprise of the people who were skeptical at first, they were doing a good job.
"I understand, good job, your pay will arrive at the end of the week" - Kurama replied with a smile as the leader of the police force, gave him a huge smile.
"Thank you very much, Kurama-sama" - replied the former criminal as he bowed.
"You may go, keep up the good work" - Kurama nodded as he watched the man leave, only to sigh regretfully as he massaged his forehead.
"Are things getting complicated, Kurama-sama?" - Tyuule asked, who was coming with a fresh bundle of documents.
"No, it's a simple headache" - replied Kurama as he shook his head - "That man has only informed us that the number of [Humanoids] that have entered [Samsara], is increasing too fast, and there have been some problems."
"You can always send in the royal guard" - Tyuule smiled as her gaze darkened with sadism - "Being kind is a good thing, but people are taking advantage of your kindness."
"I know, but I want to give them a chance before I become a tyrant" - Kurama replied as he sighed with annoyance, after all, his son Naruto had changed him more than he thought. If it was the old him, he would have already eliminated all those bastards instead of giving them so many chances.
"Let's better change the subject" - Tyuule said while giving him a smile - "What are you going to do with the princess of the empire coming to our city?"
"That question, I can only answer it after I see how she is" - Kurama answered while shaking his head - "After seeing Zorzal, I thought that the empire was corrupted to the core, but seeing how her father is, I think there is a chance for redemption."
"I've heard some things about the princess" - Tyuule said while squinting - "They say she's a dreamer."
"Dreamer?" - Kurama repeated with mild interest.
Tyuule said nothing more, she just handed him the report about the information about the princess that she had received from the refugees, especially from the Mizari's girls.
Kurama took the document with interest, only to let out a small smile - "Interesting, I guess I was right, the empire can still change for the better."
"Yes, but it's a pity she's not a boy, or older" - Tyuule replied while shaking his head - "The girl has the potential to be a wise monarch, but the situation isn't very good."
Kurama nodded at these words as he thought of some way to help this girl in a not so direct way so that the empire wouldn't feel like it was taking him by force - "I guess I'll talk to her, though it's obvious that the princess isn't coming for simple diplomacy."
"I think the same, it is possible that she will come for you" - Tyuule answered while clicking his tongue.
"Something that you would do?" - asked Kurama with a small smile upon his lips.
"In fact, although I wouldn't have been so direct, I would have first entered the city to try to contact you personally, maybe while walking to bump into you and put on a coy expression to gain your interest" - Tyuule replied as she started to say an improvised plan - "After that, I would try to use my charms to seduce you, so I could slowly approach the core of this city's power."
"This is why I have decided to make you one of my councilors" - Kurama smiled as he watched the woman tilted her head - "You are shameless enough to use any tactic to fulfill your wish, and serious enough to continue until the end, even I am sure that if you had been captured by the prince, you would have done something to trick him and finally, kill him."
Tyuule was silent as she frowned because she didn't like the idea of being captured by that bastard, but Kurama's words weren't wrong - "Yes, although I admit it, I would feel disgusted to use my body to coax that scum."
"Well, let's put that topic aside, and get back to what's important" - said Kurama while shaking his head - "I've sensed that a huge concentration of energy, is appearing on a hill in the northern area."
"I don't know anything about it, but I have heard from the people who have taken refuge in our city, that the animals are starting to go crazy, and the monster attacks were becoming more and more frequent" - Tyuule answered with boredom. She didn't care what tormented others, she only wished for two things, one, the stability of her race, and two, stand beside her master.
"I'll have to send someone to investigate, the problem is that I don't have anyone for the job" - Kurama muttered while frowning - "Maybe I can send a clone, though this is also problematic because I have no control over magical energy"
Mana and chakra, were very different concepts, so no matter how serious he was about it, there was no way he could figure out what's going on, and what was worse, mana and chakra didn't mix, in other words, no matter how much he wanted to, he couldn't use mana to cast spells because the chakra in his system rejected it.
"I think we'll leave this topic for now for another time" - Kurama said as he shook his head - "Is there anything else on the itinerary?"
"Let's see, meeting with a new group of refugees, Mizari wants to talk to you about the information they have gathered during this week" - Tyuule replied with irritation because she could notice the winged girl's interest in her master - "After that would be the commemoration in the central square of the city where your statue is."
"I thought the statue inside the temple was more than enough" - Kurama muttered while giving a blank look to his "secretary".
"I'm sorry, but that's impossible" - replied Tyuule as he shook his head - "We have to spread your name around the world so that everyone knows about you and your majesty."
Kurama sighed as he cursed that he had used the easy way out because it was obvious that he now had a religious fanatic behind him, though in retrospect, it wasn't as bad as the worshipers of the cult of [Sekkusu Kami-sama], at least Tyuule had self-control.
"Anything else?" - Kurama asked, as he quickly changed the subject because he didn't want to remember his experiences with religious fanatics.
"No, at least not presupposed" - Tyuule replied as he frowned - "Although there are many people who want to see you again, master."
"Let's leave that for later, for now I'm going to concentrate on what's important, call Mizari, she'll be the first" - said Kurama while ignoring how Tyuule clicked her tongue.
Ten minutes later, a smiling Mizari walked in, along with a grumpy Tyuule.
"It's a pleasure to see you again, Kurama-sama" - said Mizari as she tried to calm her heartbeat.
"The pleasure is all mine, now please tell me what it is you wish to inform me of" - smiled Kurama as he let out an inward sigh, though if he was honest, the former prostitute was much easier to handle than his "devoted secretary".
"With the increase in the number of inhabitants, we've heard some interesting stories and rumors" - Mizari answered seriously - "According to them, the empire seems to be gathering part of its army because one of the royal mages reported about the possible magical manifestation on [Alnus Hill]"
"Magical manifestation?" - Kurama repeated with slight interest - "What kind of manifestation?"
"I'm sorry, but that information was not in the rumor" - replied Mizari with regret because she really wanted to help the man in front of her.
"[Alnus Hill]" - Kurama muttered as he snapped his fingers and made a map appear - "It matches the place where I felt the magic concentration, so this rumor has to be true."
Mizari smiled when she heard this as Tyuule clicked his tongue again.
"Good job, Mizari, tell me, what do you want as rewards for this information?" - Kurama asked as he gave her a smile.
"We don't need a reward, Kurama-sama, we have already received more than enough from you" - replied Mizari as she bowed her head.
"Nonsense, this is more than enough merit to be rewarded" - said Kurama as he started to think - "Ok, I won't push for an answer, but I want you to remember that your reward is written down, so I ask you to think about what you want"
"Actually, there is something I wish, but I don't want to insult you" - said Mizari while biting her lip.
"Speak with confidence" - replied Kurama with a small smile.
"I want to work closer with you, Kurama-sama" - muttered Mizari while giving a firm stare to the man in front of her.
