Saving a bunch of idiots

Today was the day.

Akainu, Kizaru, Ryokugyu, and Issho. All these great men stood at the ready at the front of the Pangaea castle.

It had been a few weeks since they started planning for this mission this time.

Kizaru took the time to practice and get back into shape, which wasn't actually hard since it had appeared his combat power didn't lessen even with his arm replaced.

And among the rest, only Issho disagreed this time. But his opinion wasn't taken into account by Akainu, and here they were now.

Looking at this plan from a logical point of view, anyone would think they were stupid to go with it.

But to these men, they were standing at the top of the world in strength… dealing with Im with their strength combined, shouldn't be a problem to them.

Indeed, it shouldn't… If she was normal that is.

What they forgot to take into account was the teachings of Garp and Zephyr… They had always tried to instil this into their minds, but it was to no avail.

That is to study their enemy first before making a plan and acting only when you are assured of your victory.

In that regard, they failed this time.

And that could be attributed to Akainu. Since he insisted on them this time.

Ryokugyu can be taken off this since he was reckless and didn't think about things most of the time.

But Issho and Kizaru did consider this and voice their doubts.

And although Kizaru didn't say the same thing as Issho, he did warn Akainu about this Im.

He told him to take more time and plan accordingly. After all, there was no reason to hurry with this.

In his mind, he had a valid reason to raise this issue with Akainu.

'If Ian was wary against such an opponent, then we should be ten times more alert.'

This was the thought he had. Plus he did trust in Issho's judgment more than Akainu's.

But sadly for him, his boss was an unreasonable idiot.

So he had to along with this.

And now here they were.

Akainu took a deep breath.

He took a look at his fellow marines and issued an order.

"We are charging in."

"Once inside, deal with the old fogeys, and leave this Im to me. Once done, come support me if needed."

Akainu finished saying what he had and started walking.

"Troublesooommeeee…" Kizaru drawled…

"Don't you mean exciting?" Ryokugyu muttered to himself while grinning wildly. He was usually overly calm, but whenever something exciting happens he can't contain himself.

They started following after Akainu leaving only Issho who stood there.

"To ensure nothing bad happens, one must be ready to even ask the help of their enemies… But should they be considered enemies? I wonder…" He muttered before calmly following after them.

Soon, they had entered inside and were in front of the large doors leading to the throne room.

Standing there, three elderly men were standing alert.

"Sakazuki…" One of them muttered.

"This is not a place you are authorised to come to…" He finished.

Akainu didn't care one bit.

He strutted near them as if he owned the place.

"You bunch of old dogs can't order me anymore… I came to deal with your master."

He spoke up and ignored them after that. Straight going to attack this time.

The three elders were strong, and they tried to attack them. But… this time it won't work for them.

The strongest one among them had already been dealt with by Ian.

These three remaining were not even close to the strength of the admirals.

So the four ganging up on them, left them soon dead.

A testament to the strength of the admirals…

Following this, they continued on their path.

They opened the door and headed inside.

What greeted them was the sight of Im unconscious on the throne, while her feelers were extended and going somewhere underground.

The feelers pulsated as if absorbing something, and it was disgusting to their eyes.

For a few seconds all four there were a bit alert. But then it was apparent that Im was not going to attack.

Akainu's whole body became Lava all of a sudden before he attacked and yelled.

"Start attacking!!" He yelled.

The rest did the same and dealt their own strong attacks.

But just as the wave full of magma, light, huge tree roots and compressed gravity, was about to hit, they impacted on a violet barrier surrounding the throne.

A huge explosion resulted.

But even with such a loud sound, Im didn't appear like she was about to awaken.

Akainu seeing no damage whatsoever yelled once again.

"Carry on!" He gave the order.

There was no such chance for this to happen once again.

Even Akainu understood that this Im was dangerous somewhat.

But he was convinced that the four of them might win with some casualties… maybe one or two would die.

He could deal with that.

But now… such a chance fell on them and Im was in some sort of deep sleep.

He was taking this opportunity and getting rid of her.

In his mind, the thought of him leading the world appeared to be good.

He was doing such a good job leading the Marines, so he might as well continue to gun higher…

Since they were pretty strong themselves, the three admirals and fleet admiral took only some ten minutes before the barrier started to crack.

And just when the last wave was coming to destroy the barrier, a huge black rift opened near them in an instant leaving them no time to react.

"WAKE UP YOU IDIOT SLAVEEEE!!!" A furious voice roared in the room.

And then from the rift, a massive giant tentacle thingy sprang into action and swatted them aside, with the exception of Kizaru who was able to dodge due to his high speed.

All three that were hit were thrown back into the walls of the room with such a force, Issho, and Ryokugyu directly lost the ability to continue fighting as they coughed blood, and felt they couldn't even move a single finger.

Meanwhile, Akainu was still able to stand up. His left hand was bloodied and appeared to be mangled, thus he was unable to move it.

He coughed blood, but he stood his ground nonetheless.

Kizaru knew they f*cked up as the Tentacle thing appeared to ready for another attack.

He considered going to help them and making a run for it, as he knew even Akainu who was still standing couldn't even fight anymore.

But then the tentacle thinned and became multiple sharp-tipped ones, and started to head toward them at a massive speed, even for him.

He knew they were done for this time.

When all of a sudden a shadowy fog appeared from which a blue blur passed and collected both fallen admirals and threw them through the open door of the room with such a speed an explosion sound sounded. They can take the fall and injury if it meant they wouldn't die…

In a second the blur was apparent to Kizaru and he recognised it as Ian.

Ian using his spear imbued it with golden flames and slashed at the tentacles immediately.

This huge flaming slash made the tentacles stop for a short bit.

Only until magma started to rain all of a sudden on Ian's form. Courtesy of Akainu who wanted to take advantage of this and kill Ian…

Ian gained a furious look on his face…

This also made the tentacles resume their attack.

Ian in his Raijin form, knew he couldn't reach Kizaru in time this time since he was much closer to the attack than the others, so he tightly gripped his spear out and imbued it with as much Haki and lightning he could until it gained a deep layer of purple aura around it and he then threw it with all his might.

Not at the tentacle, no, but rather at Im. Who he thought was the owner of the tentacle.

Unlike what Ian thought though, the tentacles ignored Im and continued for Kizaru.

Ian knew he made a bad decision with that, but he still went in the direction of Kizaru as fast as he could.

He reached him just as one of the smaller sharp shadowy things penetrated through his stomach.

Ian then grabbed him and bolted to the exit, with the tentacles following furiously.

Leaving only Akainu, whom Ian didn't even consider coming back for.

Why? Well, first it was due to him not liking him. But that was not enough to let him get killed as he was doing a favour to Garp.

No. the most important reason was that he tried to attack Ian when he came to save them.

And now that he saw what was happening, he decided to run himself as he turned to Magma.

Ian managed to exit the room and take all three with him and teleport away. While the spear attack Ian dealt managed to destroy the golden barrier before it was suddenly stopped by the tentacles.

Following after, the spear vanished from the tentacles as if it teleported.

This left only Akainu.

And the odds were against him

"HALTTTTTT!!" A furious feminine voice suddenly spoke up.

Sadly for Akainu, just as he had managed to reach closer to the exit, Im had woken up.

That single word spoken, left him there standing in place unable to move.

Akainu turned to look backwards.

But she didn't even spare him a look…

"I-Im s-sorry, master…" Im fearfully intoned with her head bowed… Towards the tentacles…

The reply she waited for came soon after.

*Snort*

"Incompetent…"

The shadowy tentacles returned back into the rift as it closed, leaving only Akainu and Im left.

And by the look on her face an her trembling, she is angry. Oh, she is.
