1. This is a slow-paced story, because of this ROMANCE CAME LATE FOR THE LEADS. I'm saying this again, LATE. There's a huge reason behind this, if you will be patient you'd get there. 
2. Male Lead is weak AT FIRST. As this story is slow-paced, character development took a while. 
3. Female Lead will start to reawaken around Chapter 80 and ML will rise into his full potential shortly afterwards--once you start reading you'll know why it took this long. 
4. This book is not just about the romance part, it is also has a lot of mystery and later on, action in it.

Best believe, it had been the detective's first move to tell the police about the senator's plans. He was going to tell his partner first. How was he supposed to get his captain to listen, he did not know yet. But he had to get this message out to put all the stops in the senator's plans.

He trudged out of the basement only to come face-to-face with the senator's personal guards.

"Get out of my way," he said and made a sweeping motion in front of him. The men did not move so he pushed past them, only to be held back by an arm around his head. He tried to put up a fight, but his knees were kicked and he dropped to the floor.

A foot booted his back and he fell facedown. He was just about to get up, but something sweet already entered his nose and he immediately lost consciousness.

Feng Xuan didn't know at what point she fell asleep but she was sure she had because there was no way she was not dreaming at this point.
