1. This is a slow-paced story, because of this ROMANCE CAME LATE FOR THE LEADS. I'm saying this again, LATE. There's a huge reason behind this, if you will be patient you'd get there. 
2. Male Lead is weak AT FIRST. As this story is slow-paced, character development took a while. 
3. Female Lead will start to reawaken around Chapter 80 and ML will rise into his full potential shortly afterwards--once you start reading you'll know why it took this long. 
4. This book is not just about the romance part, it is also has a lot of mystery and later on, action in it.

After hearing that Feng Xuan had been shot, there was nothing else on Qing Chen's mind but to wrap things up and leave this place so his wife could get treatment.

"Where is he?" he twisted the arm of the man on the ground. He already had a few bullets in his body from when Qing Chen rained fire in this room.

The man had the audacity to laugh at him. Qing Chen suddenly had flashbacks of The Koala on the basement of their hideout. That man was more than nuts.

"I don't know where he is," answered the man.

Qing Chen twisted the arm more and he heard a bone cracked. The man howled in pain. "That jog up your memory?"

After the man's groans of pain, Qing Chen recognized the laughter in his voice again. Seriously, what was wrong with these people? Were they in an asylum? Why did they react to situations this way? "This is a big house. Have fun opening all the doors. Before you can even get to his room, he would've already escaped!"
