True Evil

By the time they arrived at Eva's apartment complex, Hazel had been ready to be out of the car for about two hours. She was stiff and hungry even though they stopped for food around dinner time.

The apartment was a studio with several windows to let in light but it couldn't quite be described as open or airy because of how many posters were crammed onto the walls. There was hardly an inch of white visible. All of those clashing colors together were a bit much.

The bed and dresser were off in one corner near the bathroom while the entertainment center and couch were closer to the small kitchen. Every inch of available wall was crammed with overstuffed bookshelves. Additional piles of books were scattered here and there as well. On top of the dresser, next to the TV, on the coffee table.

This was definitely the home of a geeky single writer. It suited Eva perfectly.
