Good Luck Today

Charlie continued feigning unconsciousness by staying as still and limp as possible as the paramedics examined him in the ambulance. He couldn't so much as twitch as they shone lights in his eyes and had to let his arms slam into his stomach when lifted and dropped because they were handcuffed.

Still, he couldn't wince or make a peep. He always had a high pain tolerance anyway.

His heart was racing from the adrenaline rush but they didn't think that was weird because apparently seizures could increase heartrate. His secret was safe for now. Excellent.

Since Charlie was supposedly unconscious they took him in for the brain scan right away. And they exchanged the handcuffs for zip ties just as he had hoped. Now all he had to do was make a break for it.

He could sense four people in the room. All of them were medical personnel. Whatever guards had been brought along must be outside. He wasn't sure whether or not they had guns.
