Snap Out Of It, Will!

Hazel's terrified heart calmed slightly when she saw Will burst through the front door. Tears of relief leaked out of her eyes rather than ones of fear. He was here.

He would save her, wouldn't he? He always did. If nothing else, he always came through for her when her safety was on the line. She couldn't doubt him now even though she was facing her greatest fear.

The moment the knife touched her neck, she saw Will hesitate. There was something in his pocket. Something that could help? A weapon, maybe?

He seemed incredibly nervous when Thornton began to speak. She had been right about him not wanting to do anything in front of her for fear of ruining his image. This idiot…what did he think he was doing?

What did that matter now? She was about to die! Hurry up and save her already!

"I don't know what you're talking about," Will insisted stubbornly.
