He's Not Worth It

Will was still unsure what he was supposed to do. He was covered in blood and Hazel seemed truly angry at him for the first time since their confrontation in his office all those months ago.

Back then she said very seriously that if he ever lied to her again that she would never forgive him. So why had she stayed after finding out the truth?

He stood there at a loss when she suddenly slumped forward and buried her face in his chest, hugging him tighter than she ever had before. He hesitated for only a second before hugging her back just as tightly and stroking her hair.

Right now Hazel needed comfort. It was surprising she was turning to him for it considering his role in why she was upset but whatever she needed was hers for the taking. Blood spatter and all.

"Hazel…" Will said helplessly. "Are you going to be okay?"

She was crying again. He could feel the wetness seeping through his shirt.

"I don't know! That was so scary," she sobbed.
