Some of these things had been bothering her for ages. She needed the whole truth. Carlos had given her enough information that she should know if he was lying about part of it.

Right now she was testing him. If he managed to tell her everything she wanted to know honestly, she would know he was sincere in wanting to fix things between them. That would be a sign of willingness to be a better person.
