Well, Do You Like Her?

Bonding with Maisie was even more difficult than it had been with Henry because she didn't like stories as much. Her thing was music.

Hazel sang a lot of lullabies to help her sleep but for the most part she turned on children's songs for her. If Will ever heard 'Baa Baa Black Sheep' again, it would be too soon.

He let her suck on his fingers and bounced her and held her and talked to her as best he could but she didn't adore him the way Henry did. That worried him because if Maisie hated him, Hazel would too.

Time went on and it didn't seem to get much better though he did his best to get through to her. She was a mama's girl all the way.

Hazel didn't fault him for it because he was doing everything he was supposed to and Will started to relax a little. Maybe it wouldn't matter if his daughter didn't like him as much as she liked her mother.
