Meeting

Life is sometimes unfair for some people. Especially when you are powerless in front of the once you love or the life you cherish. Everything goes according to evil and nothing is the way you want it.

But than you get to have a second chance. Sure it is not for free. It comes with a "but". It's up to the individual whether they'll agree with it or not. The main heroes are given a second chance to avenge their mistakes.

It was pitch black and cold at the same time. Adam woke up with pain throughout his entire body. What happened? The last time he remembered was him in the library fighting off that demon. Or at least to stay alive, which grandly failed. But he should be dead? 'Hello?' His voice echoed. He couldn't even see his own hands when holding it in front of his face. 'Where am I? Someone?' There was no reply to his answer. At this point Adam was afraid to stand up and look for an exit. That demon could pop out of nowhere and start hunting him down. But he did not give up, he can't give up. Gotta get out of here and get that demon back for what it to him. 'Hello? Is there someone else in here?' Adam crawled slowly, but did not know where he is headed to. Carefully hold his hand up and place it a couple centimeters forward. Really slowly, like a snail.

This time he placed his hand on top of something soft. 'Waahhhh!' Adam retreated and fell on his butt. 'Aauuwwhh. What the heck is that? It was so soft.' Adam didn't move. It felt disgusting since he can't make out because it's dark. Is it a corps? Or a slimy sleeping monster? But Adam heard a moan coming from that thing he touched.

'My head. I feel nauseous. Mmnn.' Said the manly voice. Adam was happy that he is not alone. 'Are you alright?' Asked Adam to the guy. The man got up from the floor and sat down. He could not make out if he was dizzy because he could not see a thing. 'I'm okay. But why is it so dark here? I can't tell whether my eyes are closed or not.'

Adam came close and accidentally touched him again. 'I'm sorry.' He sat next to the man. 'I just woke up too. So I don't know. Can't really tell you anything since I can't see either. By the way. My name is Adam.' Adam held his hand out out of respect, but no one shook it. Silly of him. 'My name is Dean.' It was silence again. The two had nothing to say and sat only, hoping for a miracle.

Out of nowhere up in the distance, a dim of light beam flashed towards the two men sitting on the floor. They now could see each other just for a split of a second. Both of them had surprise written on their face. The light slowly died and eventually disappeared. It was silence again. 'Should we try and go to where the light came from?' Asked Dean.

'No need to do that fellows.' Came from the direction of the light. They felt a soft breeze, it smelled like freshly mowed grass and flowers. 'So gentlemen. What do you smell right now? Dean, you go first.' He knew Dean.

'I sm..' Dean cleared his throat. 'I smell flowers.' Right after Dean finished his sentence, the man asked Adam this time. 'What about you, Adam?'

'I smell flowers too and mowed grass I think.'

Dean agreed and nodded his head in agreement. The man snapped his fingers and the darkness disappeared. It lightened up. Adam closed his eyes and Dean buried his face in his hands. They carefully opened their eyes and let it get used to the white surrounding. To their surprise. It is a endless white space. 'Good. Welcome to the infinite semi purgatory, gentlemen. Here you can choose to go back and finish the unsatisfied life you had, or swallow your fate and deal with it. Here I have two cards. The "Repent" card and the "Repeat" card.' The man was 2 meters long and had a quiet human like face. He had long black hair and black eyes. Dressed up in a beige suit.

'So, we can choose to go back and take revenge?' Asked Adam. The man snapped his finger and the two suddenly were sitting on a chair with a long table filled with food and thee. The man is also seated in front of them at the other side of the table. 'Well. You can get revenge but you need to earn that don't you? Both of you get to have three missions in total. When you finish the three missions with a full mark. I'll consider it and give you what you want.' The man took the cup of thee and drink it.

'Are you a reaper?' Asked Dean. The man eyed him and put the cup down. 'I am, I think. I don't know. You humans have all sorts of names for us creatures. God, reaper, demon, lucifer and etcetera. To be more precise. We are standing in between two dimensions, the infinite semi purgatory. You are humans from a dimension called earth. I am from a dimension called Zen. A place where my kind live. Once in a while, we get visitors just like you who died a unfortunate death. We, what you humans call, a bet. We bet on you humans. Can they get revenge or not? Simple.'

Adam and Dean were like watching a late night third rate movie. 'What kind of bullshit is this? So you Zen-thingies bet on our lifes by calling us here? Is this a game to you all?' Adam raised his voice and slammed his hands on the table. Dean grabbed Adam's wrist to calm him down. 'Stop it. We don't have much options here. No need to get angry.' Dean turned to the man who was engaged in the cakes. 'What do we have to do? And what do we get out of this once we succeed? What if we fail?' Dean wants clear answers. This whole thing looks shady.

'Choose one of the cards in front of you, gentlemen.' The same two cards appear on the table. 'Repent and you go straight to judgement. Repeat and you get to have one last chance.' He waved his large hand over the table, as to say. Choose now. 'As for your questions, Dean. You can only know that by choosing the repeat card. No need to know if you choose for repent.' Dean glared at the man. After the long silence. Dean picked up the repeat card. Another "Repeat" card appeared in the same place. Adam looked at him in disbelief. 'You trust his words? I'm not doing it. It's shady as fuck.' Adam crossed his arms over each other.

'If you don't choose. You'll stay here for the rest of, infinite. Walk around, take a look at the scenery. Be my guest. But once I go back to my world. It will become dark again. You can roll around as much as you want.' The man smiled, the eyebrows went up and bodded his head. As if he told Adam to go and see how long it'll take him to hold out in the darkness, alone. Adam thought for a minute and took out his hand and tapped on the repeat card. 'I'll go with this one.' He did not like the idea of wandering around aimlessly in a dark place like this.

'Wonderful. How about we get up and get to work. But first. We need to get you two out of those uncool clothes. He snapped his fingers again and both of them got naked. In a flash they had a suits on. Dean a red suit and a black tie, while Adam had a black suit and a red tie. 'Oh look at both of you. So handsome.' The man had a satisfying face. 'What the heck is that old man's problem, fangirling around like that.' Adam whispered to Dean. 'Adam, I heard what you said. Calling me old, while I saved your life. You can call me Eden. I appreciate it.' Whatever though Adam.

Another snap with the fingers and they were hovering about the city they were once living in. The three of their stood mid-air. Adam clung onto Dean, who was mesmerized at the scene. 'Whooaaa. Damn dude. Can't you just warn us before you zap us like this. It's freaking awesome. But it almost gave me a heart attack.' Adam pointed his finger at Eden. Dean felt miserable all of a sudden, he knew that he was forgetting something important. He spotted his house and that's when it hit him. 'My wife. How is she?'

Eden's lips curved into a sinister smile. 'What do you think? The third party that messed up your sweet life with your lovely wife. If I'm correct. That what you humans call a "monster" or an "evil spirit" has your wife trapped. I'm not so sure she will live long though.' Dean looked at Eden. He wants to know more. Can he save his wife? What should he do? How should he save his wife? All these kinds of questions flew in circles inside of his head. 'I know that you want to save your wife, but you have your hands full on yourself. If you go outside the boundaries, know that your second chance is nullified that instead. I'm warning you both. Don't do anything stupid.'

Eden had a firm tone in his voice. And once he was finished talking, he disappeared with in a flash. Dean and Adam stood there for a long time until a black circle appeared in front of them. 'Look, it's a black hole?' Said Adam pulling on Dean's sleeve.

'One, two test. Ahh. Aaaaaaaaaaaaaa. Do you both hear me? Adam. Dean. This little fellow is a communicator. If you need any answers. Ask Bobo.' Bobo smiled. Its white teeth flashed and it rolled its long tongue out and licked Adam's cheek. Adam screamed and run around in circles, trying to wipe the saliva off. 'WTF!! WHAT IS THAT THING? Eeehhwwww.' Adam was about to cry. Dean poked at Bobo. Bobo did not budge. 'So this Bobo will follow us at every move. Monitoring us.' Asked Dean.

'That's right.' Eden's voice confirmed. 'You two can go and rest for today. I'll speak at 12 midnight with you two. Greetings gentlemen.' Bobo closed his mouth.

'What do we do now? That old guy said to rest. Rest where? Adam panicked. Dean just like Eden, snapped his fingers and thought about his house that is now empty. He thought. Within a second they teleport to his house. But he finds a couple who now lives in what used to be his home. Luckily they can't see them. 'Woow, how did you do that? Can I do it too?' Adam also snapped his fingers and was gone. But he came back after a couple counts. 'I just went to school and came back. Awesome!'

'Let's sit and wait for now.' Dean said and walked up to the couch. All kinds of memories came in rushing down is head. But one thing is for sure. He needs to take it back. All of it.

Adam came and sat on the couch. He suddenly felt down once he saw his school again. He especially went to see the spot he died at. Nothing abnormal, everyone had probably forgotten about him and moved on with their lives. 'How did you die?' Adam wanted to know if Dean died the same death as himself. Bobo flew on top of the large closet and did a few rounds of turning around in the same spot before it yawned and fell asleep. 'I paid for my mistake I thought. But here I am hanging on to a second chance.' Adam didn't understand what Dean said and narrow his eyes. 'You sound so mysterious. Did you kill someone and died after?'

Dean had a bitter smile on his face. 'Something like that. 2 years ago. My wife and I decided to get an abortion. That thing what came chasing after us was probably a soul with a grunge. It posed as our child and played us. The only thing I remember was my wife being surrounded by that grotesque thing. I should have fought with it till the end. I couldn't even move!' He made a fist with his hands and glared at the floor. The carpet his wife chose. It was a light grey brick like designed with light blue and light pink flowers. Her favorite carpet.

'We have to do everything to get back what was us. I promise that I will help you get your revenge back.' Adam looked at Dean, he had a confident face. 'What about you? How did you end up getting in this mess?' It was Dean's turn to ask.

'Do you know a curse called "BMC"?' Asked Adam to begin with. Dean shook his head. 'No. Never heard of it before.' He replied. Adam signed and processed with his story. 'It all began on a Monday and it happened only on Mondays. I would get into what began as a small accident that turned into a life treating danger. And a monster that was disguised as my friend attacked me in the library, that's probably where I died. Before that. I did my research and found that it's a curse called "Black Monday Curse" not much was on the internet. It kinda sounds suspicious if you ask me.
