My Prince, she has a name

Was it possible for someone to be additive? Surely that should be a crime for someone to be like that and yet he relished it. He wanted to kiss her more.

To be as close to her as possible, however before he could do anything Anberine had pulled back quickly now feeling her face go completely from his stunt. Even his searing eyes left her squirming on the spot to her dismay.

"G-leave me alone already!" Anberine stuttered as she raised her voice not knowing that her face was red due to feeling completely embarrassed by what he had done, hearing people speaking in hushed tones had left her feeling more mortified than ever.

Smiling Prince Skye winked playfully at her before waving as he went to his table and sat down, unsure what was going on Anberine was stuck guessing on whether he was either playing with her or acting like she hadn't pulled back and rejected him.

However just as she was about to think of the answer their teacher entered the room, a woman wearing long flowing sun yellow robes that looked more a dress.

Her hair oak brown hair was light and feathery like which left some thinking she was a fairy given how enchanted she looked to them.

However to Prince Skye the girl remained in his mind and no interesting lady was going to make him take his eyes away from her.

"Okay class settle down now please, I'm going to be giving you the test papers so no more talking or fidgeting" the woman said in an airy but very kind tone that had some boys in the class hanging on her every word, in a way her voice almost hypnotic to them given how fragile but warm she was. Looks and all.

"Miss Elaine" Prince Skye called politely as he lifted his hand up, curious from hearing the sudden interruption the woman looked at him with a serene smile.

She had always thought of him as a sweet child despite his misfit habits that he had picked up over the years, something that she had often hoped would end soon given that he was going to be a future ruler and upsetting his subjects even before ruling would surely cause more problems even during his first year.

Worst case she feared that he would be dethroned by a large amount of angry unsettled citizens and Dark Dwellers due to how he had often treated them since they had arrived.

Now as she looked at the prince she had immediately noticed he now appeared more kinder than usual leaving her completely surprised but relieved that he was being nice for a change, especially given the fact he would at times appear kind but his eyes showed a different story.

Something that concerned the teacher deeply due to the fact his father's influence, it was strange that his father would create such unsettling feelings in her heart, he appeared to be a good ruler but something even now didn't sit right with her and it made no sense.

It at times left her at times frustrated and confused, but what also allowed the feelings to settle was how he was handling the issues regarding the missing people.

Why was he not doing as much as he would have done with the other problems festering in the kingdom? What were his reasons for sweeping them under the rug?

She dared even as the years roll by assume that darkness lingering inside Prince Skye's heart that was most likely created by what she could think of as loneliness.

Something that could have become his main reason for acting out.

"What is it Prince Skye?" she asked softly as he smiled at her.

"I wanted to swap seats with someone" Prince Skye said surprising not only the teacher but also everyone in the class, startled Elaine blinked quickly before smiling warmly.

Anberine hearing this however tensed up now dreading what he was up to.

"Oh? But my prince, excuse my boldness but we are already half way into the year. Changing seats now when you've had no problems before would disrupt a lot of students here" Elaine said while holding her papers gingerly, her fingers lightly grazing the sides that were in her arms.

"I know miss and I apologise sincerely, but I really want to sit next to rat girl" Prince Skye said.

Anberine who didn't see the teacher's baffled look glared at him darkly wanting nothing more than to slap him for sure. Her friends meanwhile gave him cold glares, daring him to move them.

Blinking Elaine paused before looking round to see the hostile looks coming from the Dark Dwellers.

Seeing this startled the woman at how angry they appeared and they didn't hide the looks at all, which in turn led the woman to suggest that Prince Skye had been the cause of this sudden reaction.

She bit her inner right cheek while smiling softly in order to mask her unease.

"I don't think there's any rat girls in this room sire, but I must stress this-" Prince Skye looked at Elaine as she chuckled lightly for a bit before pausing, her eyes after blinking showed that she was disappointed in him causing his brows to go up slightly in surprise.

"No one is allowed to name call anyone, especially in this classroom my prince. You are only to call them by their names as that is what they were given by their parents. It signifies respect and the last thing anyone needs even when they are at work is to insult someone who could help them in the future. Do I make myself clear?" Elaine said in a light stern voice, never breaking from her kind serene smile despite her eyes showing a clear warning not to repeat what he had just done again.

Nodding Prince Skye smiled but refrained from allowing his composure to show he was unsettled by her scolding words.
