Pt. Two

The first thing I noticed as I started to regain consciousness on the rough stone floor, was a soft blue glow that seemed to come from everywhere behind my closed lids. I slowly move my fingers and toes, arms and legs, and roll onto my back and noticed that I had a splitting headache. It took several tries to actually open my eyes, whatever was glowing seemed so bright, I must have had a mild concussion. The world was spinning for quite a while, but I was finally able to stand up and take in my surroundings, wiping the small amount of dried blood from where I hit my forehead.

There were little blue stalagmites popping out of the walls, and the seemed to be creating the soft blue light I saw coming from them, which I found a bit strange. The post online said to bring a lot of flashlights and batteries with you because there were no lights down here. But the springs looked just the same as had been described. Ominous. I walked to the different springs and examined the water, it was all so clear. The two smallest springs looked like craters and contained the hottest water temperature, but it was just like a hot tub. Then the ones shaped more like a koi pond, the bottoms looked like cobblestone designs and the water was like a hot bath you'd have at home.

The last spring was the most magnificent.it had a beach-like entrance and spanned all the way to the back walls of the cavern. I decided to take my boots off and roll up my pant legs up, and waded into the warm water, it was the coolest spring there, but it was still so warm, my eyes began to close and I began to feel dizzy.

"Oh no," I should get out of the water the concussion is worse then I thought. I impulsively took a few steps forward, and the water rose up to my mid-thigh.

"I never turned around." I'm so dizzy, this isn't good. I tried to turn around and it was hard, my body began to feel very heavy. I took only one step back to the shore before my legs gave out and I plunged forward into the water.

The water engulfed me and I struggled to try and get my legs back underneath me, but I couldn't move. The glowing chrystals started to pulse, growing brighter and brighter with each flash. This is it, I sighed and closed my eyes, the lights getting brighter and brighter until darkness overtook me and I lost consciousness for the second and last time.
