Part 1

The air was hot and crisp, almost as if Mother Nature had opened the oven over the world, summer had officially arrived. No one prepared themselves for what the next few months had in store, not even Roza Carwell. With the stove on over the Northwestern part of the world, summer break had come upon the college student.

"I don't know," Roza's best friend, Samora, had murmured softly as she slid her phone in her back pocket, "Cherry Pop might be too crowded, especially for the first day of the season."

The two girls had met in second grade, after one commented on the other's Monster High™ bookmark. One would always be over at the other's house every afternoon after school. This was up until they had graduated high school. They would soon find a place in the city and move into an apartment together, of course, after they both had gotten accepted to the same college.

"Should we try The Upper Floor? I've heard some pretty good things," Roza had suggested in her don't - make - me - come - up - with - a - list - of - seventeen - other - places - because - you're - indecisive voice.

The other woman nodded and smiled, "Let's do it."
