Promises Being Kept

Ren was currently gazing out the window with a bored facial expression with his arm resting on the table, propping his head up with the palm of his hand while an old man sat across from him. Ren was currently remembering all the memories he had made with Qin Wentian's mother and how it ended as a tragedy with promises being made. Uncle Black, the old man sitting across from Ren, patiently waited while Ren had his moment which had lasted for a couple minutes.

Turning towards Uncle Black, Ren straight straight and immediately got to business by asking, "I'm guessing that she told you about the promises we made. I won't kill him, but will you stop me from turning his currently peaceful life into a nightmare filled with paranoia and obsession?" Ren's words were sharp and the facial expression of Uncle Black changed for a brief momemnt before he gave his answer, "I won't stop you." A sigh escaped from his old lungs before he said with dominance, "But if you he ends up brain dead, then how is that any better than being dead?"

While the silent stalemate between the two was going on, a waiter came over and gave them the food that they ordered along with their drinks before calmly leaving. Ren began ate all the food and gulped the fluids down his throat in a matter of seconds before wiping his mouth and hands with a napkin. Ren gave a fake smile and said, "His heart will still beat even if he becomes brain dead. He'll be alive and that means I kept my promise to her, but of course if he does become brain dead then it only means that his will was weak." Uncle Black was about to argue until Ren raised his hand for him to stop and said calmly, "Lets end this conversation here. I know that he won't break from a hard shove to the ground, even if he is a mess he'll stand back up and continue living. Now if you excuse me, I have work to attend."

Uncle Black disappeared from where he sat and Ren got up before paying for his bill along with Qin Wentian and Bai Autumn Snow's bill. When they asked who paid for it, the waiter pointed over towards Ren who simply waved towards them; more specficially Bai Autumn Snow who cared only for wealth, talent, and strength. Ren left but not before leaving a sentence that rung throughout the restaurant, "The Wu Clan is gone, Ren has awoken. Tremble from the nightmare that will last an eternity." Everyone was shocked from the sudden declaration while those who knew their history along with the secrets hidden within knew that it was possible for Ren to be alive due to the slight mentioning of his unaging body.

Ren went back to the shop that he had bought from an old woman who was too old to run it anymore and remodeled it after his first shop with the exception of having an extra room where a forge had been placed. Instead of beginning to practice his alchemy and forging, Ren began his cultivation for Emperor's Domination but not before using the Life Treasure Creation Ticket that he got as a reward for opening his shop. The materials that he used was blood, feathers, and a bit of the phoenix fire that The Phoenix had gifted him. The ticket summoned the materials from his inventory and began to choose a suitable from which ended up being a fan, slowly it became detailed. The end product was a fan made with the blood red feathers with flames burning at the tip and an unknown pitch black metal as its handle. But sadly that wasn't the due to his first constellation, The Weeping Goddess, interfering and injecting a large amount of its astral energy into the fan, corrupting its originally pure nature; from red to purple, pure then corrupted.

When it finally stopped, the fan floated towards his hand which Ren had out for it to place itself onto; with the fan in hand, information about it appeared inside his brain. "Corrupted Fan of The Phoenix. Created by the blood, feathers, and fire of a Phoenix before being corrupted from the Weeping Goddess's Astral Energy. This cursed treasure allows you to passively regenerate at inhuman speeds at the cost of your humanity. Wielding this fan ends with an inevitable fate, shedding your humanity and becoming a demonic beast."

Ren, now with a longevity treasure, began to cultivate for the entire night and following day. The Blood Strengthening was immensely painful, the feeling of his bones changing into that of a phoenix while his blood was drained and replaced by the blood of a phoenix was bareable until the Body Tempering Stage; torture was an understatement. Ren's new bones along with the transformed bones settled into place, the pain from it was unbareable since it was something that no one should ever feel even as a growing fetus. Finally when the Body Baptism stage came, purple feathers along with purple flames grew all over his body; compared to the last 2 stages, Ren could easily settle for the feeling of ants crawling all along his body. While this was happening, the system used some of his system points to get a few extra bloodlines to improve his new transformation. The bloodlines were the Winged Deity Race, Charming Spirit Race, and a mutated Uchina bloodline.

The combinations of bloodlines along with the transformation allowed all of his bloodlines to meld together in synergy, adding another bloodline without a catalyst to reform his body will only prove to be a waste and shake Ren's foundations. Now with everything done and over, Ren nested into his-self and fell asleep while sighing, "Time to take it easy."

Meanwhile in the sky, a star began to dim until it was no longer visible. A few people noticed this and looked at it's location, confused and worried. Shortly after, the star brightened at a rapid speed from it's previous white color into a black and purple; the people who witnessed this happened, all said at the same time, "Abandoning humanity, a star that burns brightly but tragically."
