The Past

Crash!

With the smile turning so wide that she gave her true intentions away, Anastasia looked towards Sarah who just dropped the bowl in her hands and asked, "What happened? Didn't Felix tell you about us, mother in law?"

Shaking her head with a stunned expression since she couldn't believe what was happening, Sarah who turned around and to take a second look of Anastasia regained the blush which just died down and turned away again.

"Impossible…!"

"What?"

"No matter what, Felix would never take such a big decision without telling me or the others about it. He isn't that kind of a boy…"

Though her voice was gentle and very soft making her seem meek, Sarah spoke with enough determination to show that she wasn't lying and had faith in her own words.

"Is that so?"

Even though Anastasia didn't say anything else after that, Sarah unexpectedly sighed in relief since this only meant that her thoughts were correct and Felix wasn't engaged or married.

"You can turn around now. It's not as if there's anything you haven't seen here anyway."

Covering the unconscious Felix in a blanket without any worries because all of his wounds had already closed up, Anastasia looked like she was about to leave due to which Sarah hastily approached her and said, "Thank you. I don't know how you're related to Felix, but thanks a lot for your help. If not for you, I wouldn't have known what to do. I really don't know how I'll be able to repay you."

"It's fine. But since you do want to repay me, how about telling me what happened on that day?'

"That day?"

Trembling a little, Sarah took a step back and awkwardly looked around as if trying to hide something.

"Yes, that day. That very day which you are thinking about."

Eyes narrowing, Sarah clenched her fists and said, "I'm thankful that you helped Felix, but whatever might have happened on that day has nothing to do with you."

"Ara ara, why so secretive? It's not as if he r@aped you or anythi…."

Not finishing her words because the look on Anastasia's face revealed everything that she was thinking about, Anastasia who believed that she hit the bullseye said, "Really? Wow! I never pegged Felix to be the kind who'd force wome…"

"Shut up!"

Speaking loudly and entirely out of character, Sarah who herself couldn't remember the last time she was so angry the same way she was right now said, "He's not who you think he is! Don't just say whatever you think happened without knowing the truth! Felix would never…."

Not finishing her words Sarah looked towards Felix who was sleeping and said, "Not here. Let's talk somewhere else."

Following this Sarah left the room and took Anastasia away with her since she was worried that they might cause Felix to wake up.

When Felix's father died and everything that belonged to him was taken away, Felix's entire life turned upside down.

Left with no family since every one of his relatives had abandoned him due to being scared of the Asta Family, Felix found his life turning utterly bleak.

Considering that by then Felix hadn't yet discovered the existence of the Astral Library Orb inside him, Felix was further discouraged from thinking that it would be impossible for him to take revenge either.

Due to this, Felix couldn't be blamed when he had thoughts of dying either.

It was exactly at that time that Sarah suddenly approached him and told him to live with her.

But how was it that Felix repaid her?

On the very first day he began living with Sarah and her family, Felix kissed Sarah and forced her onto the bed after which he almost ripped her clothes and had sex with her.

Though what happened that day was largely influenced and related to Felix's cultivation going out of control, if not for Anna opening the door and letting him recover his senses a little, Felix might really have r@ped Sarah.

This was why Felix who always felt guilty about what he did, despite living his life in a carefree way could never take any matters that were concerned with Sarah easily.

Similarly, after that day Felix had never once properly talked with Sarah since he felt that no amount of apologising could change what it was that he did.

Waking up with a tense face, Felix was covered in sweat all over due to having that same nightmare in which Sarah was crying due to what he was doing but didn't resist at the same time.

"That thing again…"

Sighing loudly at how that nightmare would appear every now and then, Felix threw the blanket away and revealed his naked body which didn't show any signs to prove that the massacre of the Asta Family was related to him.

Standing up while groaning, Felix realised that even though his body had been miraculously healed of all injuries, the pain left behind inside it due to him overexerting it was still there.

Guessing that only time would lessen this pain accumulated due to the strain he put on it, Felix stood in front of the mirror and felt happy that there were no ugly or gruesome scars anywhere on his body.

Due to this, Felix who always prided himself about his appearance couldn't resist the urge to strike a few poses in front of the mirror and applaud himself at how he indeed was a heavenly creation with no rivals.

Next he put on his clothes and looked outside the window with a weird look.

Given how long he felt that he was asleep, the sun shouldn't be rising above the horizon just now. But there it was clearly rising upwards and showing that it hadn't been too long since dawn broke.

Opening his personal terminal, Felix felt enlightened and opened the window.

Bearing with the hunger which didn't surprise him because putting aside that exhausting long night he hadn't eaten anything for an entire day due to being unconscious, Felix began making his way towards the school after making a short stop at a restaurant.
