Party at Rosethorn

9:00 P.M.

-I'm not going Clara, I've got better stuff to do than go to a party at a goddamn bar! - I said, dropping in bed.

-Oh yeah, like what? Cry yourself to sleep thinking about Randy again? You have to get out for christ sake!

-That was low! - I sigh, putting my arm over my head. I knew she was right but still I couldn't bring myself to a place where everyone would ask me about it. I didn't wanna think about it.

-Look I get it but being all by yourself will just make you spiral over it again, Lyssa. Just for tonight, please? I can get my sister to take us, how 'bout that? Pleeeeease...

-Ugh, fine, but this is the last I hear from you trying to drag me to parties for the semester.

-Deal! -she laughed through the phone, leaving her phone behind to go talk to her sister, by the footsteps echoing.

As I slowly get up, I go through my clothes, unsure of what to use and not willing to think much about it. I pick a somewhat decent dress, tie my hair, put some boots and walk downstairs, waiting for Clara to show up with Sidney, her sister. The dorm is awfully quiet by the time they arrive, and we drift away fast before anyone notices.

I did not expect the bar to be this big, or this loud. The bar was called RoseThorn, known for its easy acess and little care to what its done inside of it as long as it was payed for. The name of the place was glowing in red with its curved neon lights.

-Rosethorn? You know the reputation of this place for weird people, Clara!

-Relax girl, it was booked for the night, it's all ours. -She smiles and says goodbye to her sister and starts walking towards the entrance. Oh god why did I agree to this . The guard asks us for the student ID and let us in. The inside of the bar is completely transformed, with personalized lights and furniture all over the place. Tables are against every wall filled with shrimp towers, drinks and candy.

-Who bought this place? - I ask.

-Maddison and her boyfriend, the usual. It's a party to commemorate their dating anniversary.-She quickly sees her boyfriend and rushes toward him. -See you in a bit, don't run away!

Maddison and her boyfriend, Jackson, were known for being the rich couple of the school, so that was not surprising. As I see Clara drift away to John, I start to feel uncomfortable. Maybe this was a bad idea. What am I even here for... In the first minute she's not around, I am being greeted by classmates I never talked to, all asking about my breakup. Why is any of my business even relevant for you, but they keep pushing to know all the horrible details of how it happened. I dodge most of it with excuses, and then I see more familiar faces starting to notice me from afar and wanting to join this interrogatory, I decide it's a good time to hide. Walking on the opposite direction, I notice a isolated couch on the corner of the room, with one person sleeping on it, but pretty much empty. I do not want to be around people smashing each other right now. I seat down, shifting the weight a bit and accidentally waking the guy up. His face was covered by his blue and black hoodie, but he let out a pretty loud groan.

-Sorry –I say quickly, trying to not attract attention from the stranger.

He then turns in my direction, revealing his face. His hair was of a pale type of gold I've never seen before, and his topaz colored eyes looked as if he was a cat. He has a pretty clear bruise on the left side of his face, and his eyes are clearly confused, and a bit irritated. I try to smile.

-Look I'm not in the mood, go back to the dancefloor, whoever you are. - He waves his hand in a shoo mode.

-I see you're having a night as wonderful as mine. – I chuckle. - Look man I just want to be away from this mess as much as you do.

He analyzes me for a couple seconds and then proceeds to not care.

-What happened to your face? You need some ice?- I ask.

-Nah, the couch and I like things a little rough. - He sasses, turning his face back towards the couch arm. I can't help but laugh.

-I ship it – I joke – But would you mind a threesome? It's too hard to resists it's arms, if you look at it. He laughs.

-Sure. - He pulls his hoodie down and goes back to sleeping mode. Guess that was my interaction for the night. It was already more than I was willing to.

I try to make myself comfortable and put my head back against the pillows. It's pretty soft for a pub couch. The waiter comes around holding a tray of drinks, and I take one. Drinking is not much of a habit, but hey, its free. I did not expect it to taste like straight candy thought. Halfway through it, it's too sweet to be drinkable, so I put it down on the side table next to the couch. I can hear Clara raving from across the bar, and a fight is going on from the other side. More and more people are coming in, and its already way past midnight. I figure I can wait a bit longer before calling Sidney to pick us up, Clara is still not wasted and seems to be enjoying herself, so I don't really wanna end the fun for her – as much as I miss my bed -. I can handle a bit more of this place, as long as I can stay where I am.

Something's not right. I feel my head get heavier and heavier overtime, and I feel like I'm losing control over my body. I try to get up and fail, landing back on the couch abruptly. I can see from the corner of my blurry vision Hoodie guy turning to me again, but things are getting darker. I start to not feel my body anymore.

-Hey are you okay? -He holds my arm and saves me from falling into the ground. - Hey, hey! Someone must have drugged the drinks, fuck.

I black out.
