The evening sky drizzled with a fine mist, like threads of silk.
Before leaving, Jasmine Yale prepared some snacks and packed them into a box.
She hadn't expected Sylvan Cheney's car to remain stationary, parked across the street, not moving at all.
She braved the light rain and walked over in surprise, tapping on the car window.
The car door opened, and Sylvan Cheney looked at her, his eyes ablaze,"Get in."
"My apartment is nearby, I can just walk back. Why didn't you go out? You must be bored, right? Where's Sweet Kitty?"
"Asleep," Sylvan whispered, his eyes tenderly fixated on the little thing in his arms,"I'll take you home."
"Thank you, then."
Once in the car, Sylvan noticed that it had started to rain outside.
Jasmine placed the snacks properly,"I made these for you, just finished, so they should taste alright. You can have them as a late-night snack or for breakfast tomorrow."
"So considerate?" Sylvan navigated the steering wheel and started the car.
