Healthy Mind, Healthy Body

Yet another day in class. At this point, he had gotten used to his new life. As of late, he hadn't been asked to do anything ridiculous, so he wasn't stressing out as he usually was. Still though, he'd much rather prefer not being in this situation in the first place.

Things were looking up for him though. Not only had he made major headway for Erina, he even started chatting up with people online. There was one in particular that he had talked with for some time now. He met them when he was looking up information about a possible anime adaptation of his current favorite manga.

"You look pretty happy." Yogi commented, seeing him on his phone during break. "What are you looking at?"

"Oh I'm just messaging someone. You wouldn't know them, I met them online." He told him, making sure to leave out the content of what they were discussing.

"That's. Uh, great." Yogi replied, straining his words.

"Uh, are you okay?"

"Oh no, it's no problem. I've just had some pain in my stomach. That's all."

"Are you sure you should be here at school right now." Arata wasn't paying attention to his seatmate during class. Looking at him now, it looked like he was about to die.

"Oh, well it's not that type of pain. I'm not sick or anything." Yogi replied, trying to downplay his condition. "It's just something that comes and goes. I'll be fine."

"Okay then, just don't push yourself." He let it go. There was no convincing Yogi if there really was a problem. He wasn't going to pursue it farther, not that'd he be able to when someone else jumped into their conversation.

"Say cheese!" A flash of light blinded him. It was Yurime, taking a picture of him. "Nice, thanks." She said, inconsiderate to his lost vision.

"Ow, what was that for?" He rubbed his eyes in irritation.

"Well I need to get a picture, so I can write that article about the dance of course." She checked the image she caught, making sure it was good for print. "Also, I'm a little late, but congrats on winning the whole thing."

"I wasn't planning on it, I guess I was a little better than I thought." He laughed. He wasn't elated about the outcome, but he couldn't deny that he enjoyed it a little himself.

"I have to wonder though, I wonder if the students actually wanted to vote Aono instead." She pondered. "After all, the two of you do like pretty much alike."

"I guess I can the resemblance, but I think he won fair and share." Yogi answered.

"What? Look alike?" Arata, on the other hand, "We don't look anything alike. For starters, his hair is brown. I have black hair. Another thing, I'm pretty short compared to him." He listed out ways that made them different. This wasn't the first time he had been told the two looked similar. "… And finally."

"Okay, okay I get it." She stopped him. "also, by the way. Did you guys hear about the health exams?" She asked. She was referring to the yearly checkup by the school to maintain up-to-date medical information for their students. "They are today after all."

"Yep, I already did it this morning." Yogi answered.

"Really, they didn't mention anything about your stomach?" Arata asked.

"I wasn't feeling anything at the time. And uh, Kurosawa it's not what you might be thinking." He told her.

"Yeah, I guess it's not." Arata backed him up. He understood that it might be embarrassing to talk about, but he was only concerned about his health. "As for myself, I'll be doing it after school. So I'll get it taken care of."

"Cool, hope it goes well for you." She wished him luck and departed. Her mission completed. He'd only met her twice now, she seemed like a pretty odd girl.

Class resume, going on as usual. At lunch, the teacher had a request before they were to be released.

"Okay, is there anyone that wants to help me bring some paperwork back to the teachers' office?" Yogi offered, as he usually did. But Arata wasn't the only person to notice his pain. "Are you sure you can? You don't look well."

"Oh, I'm just a little unwell. I'm sure I'm fine." Yogi tried to assure the teacher. Not good enough though.

"Well I can't just make you do things in that state." The teacher sighed. "Kashimura, you can help instead."

"Uh, but I didn't offer."

"He's your friend right? I'm sure you can do it for him." He didn't want to deny it, though he didn't feel that was the truth. And thus, he was stuck going to bring some papers with the teacher.

It wasn't that big of a deal to him. Carrying the stack of papers, along with a couple of books. His task was done in no time. Bidding his farewell, it was time for him to have some lunch. He headed back to the classroom to pick up his lunch before joining the others.

On his way, there was a familiar figure in the hall, heading in his direction. At first, he wasn't certain if his eyes were playing tricks on him. Once he got closer, he knew for certain that it was Erina walking towards him. Odd, she should be eating lunch with the others right now.

She also had an unusual walk. Natural, nothing like the way she normally did. It was scaring him, he walked towards her slowly. Peeking under to try and see her face.

"Erina?" He asked once he got fairly close to her. It seemed like she was harmless. But it was when he let his guard down, that she struck.

"Yogi!" She yelled, wrapping her arms around him and pushing them to the wall. "There you are." She spoke in slurred speech. There was clearly something wrong with her.

More importantly to him, she was really holding him tightly. So close now, he could feel her body touching his. Her breasts pushed up against his chest.

"Ah, what are you doing?!" He wasn't sure what he should he here. His back against the wall, there was nowhere to run. Should he fight back? She didn't seem to be of right mind, so he didn't want to hurt her.

"Come here Yogi, give me a kiss." She puckered up. Leaning into his face to try and steal a kiss. He did his best to get away from her. This was not how he wanted to spend his lunch. Fortunately for him, he was saved when someone pulled her away.

"Please, calm down." It was a girl, it looked like she was a nurse, not a student. Though judging by her age, she seemed like she could be mistaken for one. "I'm so sorry, but can you help me?" She asked him. Since he wasn't being grabbed anymore, he had much better control over Erina now.

"Ah, but I was just giving Yogi here a kiss." She said, still very much woozy in her speech. With the two of them, they were able to get her back to the nurses office. They laid her down on the bed to let her rest. She was much more tired out after the excursion.

"So what was that all about?" He asked.

"Oh, it's all my fault." She said. I just left for a minute to use the bathroom, and the next I know she's gone. I hope you were too bothered by her." She was worried about getting in trouble with the staff. In fact, she was really stressing out about it.

"Oh it's fine. She's actually a friend of mine. So I guess it's not that big of a deal." He remembered what had just occurred between the two. He realized that she probably would get upset if she heard about it. "I promise I won't tell anyone." This was more for Erina than anything else, but it wasn't like he was planning on that anyway.

"Really? Oh thank you. I was so scared you were going to be mad."

"I wasn't going to be? Well it doesn't matter now, but why exactly is she like that?" He looked over to Erina, who had now fallen asleep in the bed.

"Oh, well I'm sure you know we're doing checks on all the students. Well it turns out we don't have her blood type on file, so we were just going to draw some blood. But when she heard that, she freaked out and tried to escape." He could figure what that might've looked like. Knowing her fear of blood, getting it taken out of her must've been a nightmare.

"Yeah, but then what's with this?"

"Well, we had to use a tranquilizer to sedate her."

"What? But isn't that kind of dangerous?"

"It is, but she was causing it to be unsafe for the staff, so we had little choice. Once she was knocked out I drew the blood and tested it."

"Such a troublesome girl." He sighed, he pushed on Erina's nose. Not a stir from her, it seemed like she was out cold.

"It's too bad about her fear of needles. She would've been very useful."

"Why's that?"

"Because she has O- blood. So she would've been a good donor." Then the nurse had another stressful reaction. "Oh no. I'm not supposed to tell you that!" She covered her face with her hair in shame.

"It's okay, I won't tell anyone." He said. It didn't fill him with confidence that this was the school nurse. Though, with her apparent youth, he figured she was new, so he wasn't going to give her a hard time. "So what's your name?"

"Oh silly me, I haven't formally introduced myself. My name is Koume Mino, I'm a student nurse here, while I'm still getting my training."

"Well I'm Arata Kashimura." He introduced himself. "I'm just a student here."

"You are? Have you gotten a checkup yet?"

"No, I was planning on having it after school, but since I'm already here. I can do it, if you want to."

"That's great. I'll get everything set up for you." He began the process. It was nothing special. Just simple things like weight, height. Common things he would do at a doctor's office.

The only thing out of place was that they also didn't have his blood type on file. He thought that was odd, since he was sure he gave a sample in his first year. It wasn't a problem, he could just get blood drawn again. Unlike Erina, he had no fears of blood or needles.

"What's going on?" A voice said, in a daze. It was Erina, who woke from her slumber. Once she got her vision straight, she saw Arata with the nurse. They were in the middle of getting his blood taken.

"Oh hey you're awake." He said, nonchalantly. What he wasn't thinking of was what she looking at. The blood filling the syringe, seeing this frightened her. She gave a scream, shocking the other two. Erina jumped from her bed, running out of the room in a panic.

Him and the nurse sat still. Needle still in his arm, mid-draw. That girl was on the loose once more.

"Um, you should finish quickly." He told her, once he got himself back to earth. "I'll go get her."
