The Second Award

The crowd went wild watching the performance. Even fans watching the performance from their homes could feel their hearts racing. The BIGBANG members did not expect this either. The girls told them that they were doing something different, but they never expected something on this level.

DAESUNG : "Hyung, did they tell tell you that they were doing something like this?"

GDRAGON : "No, I think only the CEO must have known about it."

SEUNGRI : "Our closing performance might pale in comparison to this. I'm feeling the pressure."

T.O.P : "We just have to give our best."

After the girls went backstage and changed, they returned to their seats. They were right in time for the 'Best New female group' nominations. They were competing with Wonder Girls for this award. So-Young did not have any hope of winning this award. Winning the award for the best M/V was a big surprise. It would be a complete miracle if they won in this category. Though she had such thoughts, she could not help but feel nervous. The MC dragged the announcement to create suspense, keeping the audience on their toes.

MC : "And the award goes to ...."

MC : "I really like the groups nominated this year."

Audience : "..."

MC : "And the award goes to ...."

MC : "Aish! I wish I could give the award to all the groups."

All the groups : "..."

MC : "And the award goes to ...."

MC : "2ne1!!!!"

While the girls crushed each other into a hug, So-Young was sitting blank-faced. It was like her brain stopped functioning. For the first time did everyone see the calm and collected leader look a little....stupid. Her face was shown on the big screen and everyone found it hilarious. The girls bowed and took the award from the MC. So-Young politely took the mic from him.

So-Young : "Wow! This was really unexpected! I just spoke about getting more surprises, and here we are - an hour later - getting our second surprise. I would like to say thank you to everyone. It was a good year we all set together and in that short span of time we had many disagreements and fights. At the same time, we made sweet and precious memories that I treasure. Just one short year, and we were able to experience so many emotions that I never knew I could feel. So, I would like to take this moment to thank each and every single one of our members, for being who they are. It is because of you that we are standing here at this moment. Thank you."
