Yardrat

I hear a beeping noise, sounding off in my ear. I awaken and see that I'm entering a planets atmosphere. My pod starts to shake horribly, and I hold on tight. I feel as if I'm going to die if this thing hits to hard.

*BOOM!!!

My body jerks forward, and my head hits the front of the pod. I Shake my head a bit, and try to get rid of the cobwebs. A monotone voice speaks out all of a sudden, "Welcome to planet Yardrat."

I freeze upon hearing the name. 'Ah, well, at least I can learn Instant Transmission. Hopefully I also learn some spirit techniques,' I think to myself.

I push the button on my remote to open the pod, and there are many purple people looking at me. I step out slowly, and bow slowly. If I go to fast I'm afraid they will attack. Good relationship equals good teachings.

"Greetings, people of Yardrat. My name is Okara, of the Saiyan race." One of the bigger ones of the race steps forward, replying, "Greetings, Saiyan. Why have you come here? If it is to attack us, I warn you, we will not allow that. And if you attack, we will respond. Peace is always an answer."

I slowly straighten myself up, and try to hold back tears, remembering my parents. I'm quite a bit taller now, so I know they have perished. I try to talk, but my voice catches, and I can't help the tears now. I start crying, and fall to my knees.

I don't know how much time has passed since I started to cry, but when I calm down a bit, I realize that the guy who asked me about my intentions from before was holding me, stroking my hair and patting my back. I slowly exhale, still trembling. "Thank you," I whisper, looking down.

"It is no issue, child. Something bad must have happened to you, to warrant such a response to my question." I nod to him, putting my hand to my chest.

"I come from the planet Vegeta, a planet where my race are called space pirates. I was living with my parents before I was sent here." The guy was a little tense after hearing that. He finally speaks, saying, "I know about your people child. What I'm wondering is how a kind hearted person like yourself ended up here, and the fact that you cried upon that question... What happened?"

I shakily stand up, with him following my action. "Can we go somewhere more comfortable first? I-, I don't want to talk about it here." He nods, and waves for me to follow. We start heading towards an area with tall rock like structures, and I stay quite.

After getting to one of the living areas, the guy leads me to his place, I guess. After entering into his humble abode, he motions me towards a living area. I sit down on one of the seats, and he says, "Wait here, I will get you some refreshments, and some food if you would like." I nod gratefully, replying, "Thank you."

He comes back after awhile with a tray full of food and a cup. I thank him and start digging in. Within five minutes I've already eaten all of the food he brought, and sipped the tea he gave me. "Hmph. Whenever you wish to explain, go ahead. And my name is Orzo."

I nod slowly. "My name is Okara, sir Orzo. I also thank you for your hospitality," I say, bowing my head to him. He just nods back, waving his hand at me. I sigh deeply, pondering to myself for a moment. I decide to look at my stats really quick to see how much time has passed as well.

I further contemplate. I'm three years old now. My brothers are still alive I'm sure, and Kakarot is sure to be a handful right about now. Or maybe he already hit his head. I breath deeply again, and look up to Orzo.

"My mother, is one of the kindest and most loving person I've ever had the privilege of knowing. I truly feel that she did a great job and gave me the love I needed."

I look towards the window, trying to stay calm. "Me and my brother, Kakarot, were being raised together, and life was amazing. Eventually I knew I would probably have to fight one day, but that day never came. My parents decided to put me and my brother into space pods, fearing the worst. They thought the one known as Frieza was going to destroy the planet."

I had to stop again, and take deep breaths, calming my heart. I looked at Orzo, feeling more tears fall. "I know that my planet is gone. Frieza would never allow my people to live. He ruled us with an iron fist, and then killed my people, without even trying." I put my head down, trembling again.

"I mean your people no harm," I said hoarsely. "I just want my mom back, and to beat that bastard into the ground for what he did." Orzo just stared at me for awhile.

He seemed to be in deep thought, and finally he got up. "I'll be back in a little bit. Relax here, and I'll see if we can help you at all." I just nod weakly, and lay back, tired from the emotional stress.

Out of nowhere I feel something shake me. I blink and sit up suddenly, realizing that I fell asleep. I see Orzo smiling at me. "Follow me, I have a spare room you may rest in. And also, there is a wash bin with some water prepared for you as well. Bathe, and sleep."

"I appreciate it, Orzo," I say while bowing in respect. He gives me a soft look, and puts his hand on my shoulder. "Listen Okara, tomorrow our leader, Elder Pybara, wants to meet with you. He would like to test your determination and aptitude. Would you be willing to meet with him?"

I smile and nod. "No problem, I would be honored to meet Elder Pybara." Orzo nods, and leads me to his guest room. "Go ahead and rest. I also set out some clothes for you. Please, enjoy your stay Okara." I thank him, and proceed to the washing bin. After half an hour goes by, I finally lift myself out of the bath, and dry myself. I quickly slide on the clothes, which are super comfy, and lay down. I think about my day, sighing to myself. 'I wonder what tomorrow will bring...'
