Chapter 11 Buying Store

After receiving 2 white gold coins, I walked towards the merchant guild building. As usual, many traders gathered outside and inside the building.

I looked at the counter that I used before, I can see Adelia talking to another merchant. Then i stood behind the merchant to wait for my turn.

"Good afternoon Mr. Nine, how can I help you?" Adelia greeted me after she finished speaking with the merchant before.

"Good afternoon Adelia, I want to know if the store near the square is still for sale?" I asked her.

"That building hasn't been sold yet, Mr. Nine." She answered

"Adelia, I plan to buy the building, but can you ask the owner to reduce the price to 1 white gold coin and 100 gold coins?" I asked Adelia again.

"Well Mr. Nine, I will convey your request, this may take about one day." She answered

"Okay, thank you, I'll be back tomorrow then."

After that I returned to the inn because there were no other activities that I had to do today. I spend my time as usual at the inn.

"Selvi, aren't your parents worried if you have to go home alone at night?" I asked Selvi.

Our relationship is quite close because we often talk when she was free.

"I don't live with my parents, I live in an orphanage. Because many children are still young, those of us who are already able to work must find additional money because there is very little help from the city." Selvi answered my question.

"Selvi, I plan to buy a shop in this city. How about you work for me? I will pay you 5 gold coins every month. You are the only person that I know in this town besides the employees and traders in the guild." I offered her a job.

"I will sell expensive items, so I can get more profit because there are no other traders who sell them here." I said.

"Well I'm willing, when will I start working?" She asked.

"Tomorrow I will buy the shop, you can start working tomorrow helping me clean the shop. I will pick you up here tomorrow afternoon before going to the store "

"Alright, I'll talk to the innkeeper first."

After that I returned to my room and spent my time on the internet.

The next day after I finished breakfast, I returned to the guild again. I went straight to the counter where Adelia was to ask the price of the shop I would buy.

"Good morning, Mr. Nine." Adelia

"Good morning, how? Does the shop owner agree with the price I offer? " I asked Adelia.

"He agrees with the price you gave sir, but he want you to purchase it today. Looks like he was in a hurry. " Adelia said.

"Of course, I'll buy it right now."

Then I took out two white gold coins and all the permits that i have and Adelia took a contract and a store ownership parchment.

After completing all the documents, Adelia handed me the change of 100 gold coins and building ownership documents to me.

"Thank you for your help Adelian." I thanked her.

"Of course mr. Nine, anytime. If you have a problem or questions, you can ask me." She said.

Next I returned to the inn to pick up Selvi and we both left for the shop I had bought.

After arriving at the store, Selvi suprised and asked me.

"Nine, did you buy this shop? I didn't expect you to have a lot of money, every shops on the main street especially those close to the square are very expensive. "

"I feel this shop is the most suitable place for the items I will sell. Because there are many noble families and rich families around here. " I answered her.

We both started cleaning the shop from the basement to the second floor.

"Selvi, I'll go out for a while to buy a few tables." I told Selvi before leaving.

"Okey."

Then I went to the carpenter's shop and bought several shelves and tables of different heights. The employees there then deliver my belongings to the store and I immediately arrange them. I set the table with a different height like a ladder to put spices and the shelves I will use to display parfume and glass product like wine glass and mirror that I will sell too. Apart from that I also plan to sell silk fabrics.

We finished organizing and cleaning the shop when it was getting late and I invited Selvi to have dinner at a restaurant near the store before she left.

I returned to the store and went upstairs. On this floor there is main room and 2 small rooms. I chose one room in the right as my private room and bought a mattress from the internet to replace the original mattress in that room.

After a day of working in a shop, I feel tired and buy energy drinks from the internet. I was surprised when trying the drink, I felt all the fatigue slowly began to disappear.

"Do all the food and drinks from the internet have a strong effect on this world? I will ask Selvi to try it tomorrow. I just hope the spices that I sell don't make people in this world overpowered. "

Then I bought another energy drink and transferred it to a glass bottle. Apart from that I am also looking for a uniform that will be used by Selvi tomorrow, I am looking for clothes that look elegant but not too modern and buy them.
