Chapter 34 Last Day

"Everyone, today is the last day we sell this. Since there were only a few medicines left, I assumed most of the people in the town had bought them. I will save a few just in case if there are people who still sick. So if you know someone who has never taken this medicine, you can tell me. I will give it to them if they really don't have money to buy this medicine."

"So, I want us to sell as much as possible today. Those of you who have just worked here don't need to worry because I'm prepared to open a new business. You can work there later after everything is ready, for now I want you to learn from Selvi and the others."

"I will also make some of you who have worked for me longer to become the manager of the new place, you are also responsible for training the new employees later. Like other store managers, you should be able to make inventory reports and submit them here every day after the store closes."

I told them a few things before we opened the business. Because of the addition of workers, I was able to focus on doing other things, especially regarding property purchases. I got a message from the guild employee that the owner of the building I wanted to buy before wanted to meet with me in the guild to discuss it further.

In the guild I found several building owners that I wanted to buy, after discussion with them the building near the orphanage I bought for 3 white gold coins. This building is a house with a yard that is wide enough, it's a little bigger than the Spider Crypt. While the warehouse which is near the western gate I bought at the price of 10 white gold coins, this warehouse is quite extensive and has been surrounded by a fence made of wood. I just need to renovate it a little more to strengthen its safety and make sure no water comes in there.

In addition to the two buildings I bought 4 other buildings that were scattered, 3 buildings were on the main road near the south and north gates. Two of that buildings I will build a tavern and sell food and liquor like in Spider Crypt, the target buyers here are merchants who enter and exit the town while the other one I will make a luxury restaurant because it's location close to town square. I will make the last building into an ordinary restaurant targeting ordinary people because it has the same location as Spider Crypt. I bought these four buildings for a total price of 28 white gold coins.

I have not been able to buy property that I will make into an elite club because I have not met the owner. From the information I got from the guild, the building owner is currently not in this town. The guild will notify me when the owner returns.

After all the ownership of the building became mine, I started hiring people to renovate those buildings. To ensure the safety of that places I bought several locks from the internet and put them there, when the workers saw the lock I bought from the internet they were very interested in it. I can only reason that I brought it from the southern islands along with all the spices I sell here.

'I will ask Argus and the others later if there are any of their acquaintances who are willing to work as security guards. After hearing Count Llyne's advice before, I have decided to hire them to protect my properties.'

"Welcome boss. We just finished selling all the medicine you have given." I was welcomed by Argus when I came to Spider Crypt, when they were cleaning the equipment.

"Argus, I need your help finding a few people who can work as security guards, I just bought a warehouse to store all the supplies. They should be people you know well."

"There are only a few of our friends who live in this town. If you need lots of people, I will send a letter to our friends who are in another town."

"I need lots of people because I need them to be on guard 24 hours in turns, not only in warehouse but in other places as well. What do your friends do in other town, are they willing to be security guards?"

"Most of them are working as town guards, they will accept your offer if the conditions are better than what they got right now."

"You can tell them I will pay them double their current salary, I just want them to work well. And do you know anyone who can take care of a tavern? I opened two other places near the south and north gates, I will sell the same drinks we sell here but at a slightly more expensive price because the buyers there are merchants."

"I will look for someone who can do it, is there anything I can help there boss?"

"Yes, I need your help later to explain a few things to them and I want Irene to train the cook there. I also ask you to oversee all those places, I want you to be a supervisor there. You can hand over Spider Crypt to Gert or others."

"Gert, Kiles and Mott, I want one of you to train the children at the orphanage later. You guys can do it in turn, right now I'm still renovating the dojo. I will also increase your salary."

"Alright boss, may i know why you want to train those children?" Gert asked.

"I just want to make sure they have other skills if they are not interested to work in the store, besides that I can also recruit them later to be the guards of my business in this town, even in other cities. As you all know, I only employ people who can be trusted."

"Alright I will train them well boss." Gert said.

"Boss, do you want to open a business in another town?" Argus asked after hearing my words.

"Right, after all the businesses in this town are going well, I plan to open more business in Port Sandlight. When that happens I will take you and Irene with me to train new workers there."

"Boss, it is an honor for us. Irene and I will work hard to train these new workers."

Like in Spider Crypt, I also told the same thing to workers at my cafe. I asked the cooks there to train new workers who would work in the restaurant, I will also teach them how to cook some new food.
