Examiners Test

Chapter 48 Examiner Test

"Mr. Nine! I want to inform you that your notice has been issued, you can see it on the notification board. If you find any errors in your notice, you can report it to me. I will fix it right away." Adelia met me right after I left the meeting room.

"Thank you for the information, Adelia. I will check it right away."

I walked out the guild building to where the notification board was located. There I see lots of notifications, the most is a request for a certain item, such as certain herbs. I found my notice and checked the contents, everything written therein was in accordance with what I explained to Adelia before. All the requirements that must be met are also explained clearly, I don't need to worry about any misunderstanding later.

After checking my notice and not finding any errors there, I returned to the guild building to notify Adelia.

"How is it, Mr. Nine? Are there any errors in your notification?"

"Nothing, everything is the same as what I explained to you before, there is no addition or reduction of the information, it is perfect. As expected of you, Adelia."

"Thankfully, because I had plenty of time before your notice was published, I repeatedly checked it to make sure there were no errors there." Adelia seemed to be much more relieved after knowing there were no errors in my notice.

"Thank you again, Adelia. I will be back in a few days to check if anyone is interested in participating in the selection."

"All right, Mr. Nine. I will personally be responsible for your notice, I will make sure they have the qualifications to take part in the selection."

After all the things in the guild were finished, I returned to Le Réseau to continue my day as usual. At Le Réseau, I saw Selvi who was daydreaming on her desk upstairs.

"What's wrong, Selvi? Are you not feeling well? " I ask her.

"Oh! Nine, Is everything over?"

"Yeah, everything's going well. Why are you daydreaming like that?"

"I'm confused. Depa, Fina and others decided to move from the orphanage and live independently. After we work for you, we have a lot of savings, and to rent a house ourselves is no problem for us."

"Isn't that great? Do you also want to rent your own house?"

"That's the plan, but we still feel guilty for leaving Aunt Mel alone there to take care of the children. Unt Mel has taken care of us and raised us."

"Even though you no longer live there, you can still help her when you are not working, or when you have free time. I will discuss with Aunt Mel later to hire some women who live around there to help Aunt Mel. As long as Le Réseau continues to operate, you don't need to worry about operational costs there. I'm sure Aunt Mel won't mind you guys living by yourself."

"Yeah, I'll explain it to Depa and the others. We will look for a house not far from the orphanage, if Aunt Mel needs our help, we can quickly come there to help her."

The next day. It has been three days since I gave various liquors to Argus, it's time to test them. If they can't explain the taste and differences of the drinks, I will look for someone else.

I don't need them to explain it in detail, as long as they can explain what they tasted is enough for me. Because their opinions will be closer to the answers that will be given by prospective employees later. After all, they were not as professional as Winefred, so it was natural that their opinions were not as detailed as he was.

"Good morning, boss. I have a feeling that you will come today, so I asked Irene to prepare a cup of coffee for you." Said Argus.

While drinking coffee, I ask them. "So, how is your progress? Can you explain the taste of the liquors I gave you?"

"Of course, Boss. I don't find it difficult to study the whiskey you gave me, maybe my explanation isn't detailed, but I will try my best to explain it based on how I feel after tasting it."

"What about the others? Is there any problem?"

"I might have a little trouble to explain the taste and the difference, Boss. I think all of the drinks taste the same, it takes time to get used to being able to find the difference." I heard Gert's statement

"It doesn't matter, you still have one more week to study it. I think you guys haven't finished your liquor, as I said before, I want you to study them, not enjoy them."

"Of course, boss. I only drink a little because if it's too much, we will get drunk and can't remember anything." Everyone agreed with Gert's words, except for Argus who looked worried.

"What's the matter, Argus? Are your whiskeys gone?" Ask him and he looks more worried.

"Of- Of course not, Boss. H-How could I possibly finish three bottles of whiskey in three days."

"He almost finished it, Mr. Nine. With the reason to learn it, he always drinks it in large quantities." Irene who came from the kitchen said that after hearing her husband's answer.

"So, Argus. You should be able to explain it well about those whiskeys."

"Of course, boss. Even though I drink a lot, I still remember it well."

"Alright, then start with you. Explain your opinion to me."

"I will explain my opinion from Bourbon Whiskey—this whiskey taste stronger than the other two whiskeys. I smell a scent that is almost similar to the character of wine and a hint of almond aroma. For taste, I feel the delicate and dry mid-palate tastes of leather and a little taste like the aroma of vanilla that you sell at Le Réseau."

"For Scotch Whiskey, I smell dried fruits, a hint of ginger, and some of the spices that you usually sell with a hint of citrus. I think it's the aroma of cloves and cinnamon. When I tasted it, in my palate

I felt a taste of cloves, oranges and a hint of smoke. When swallowed, it leaves a full and lingering feel, sweet, gingery and a hint of wood smoke."

"As for the Rye Whiskey you gave me, I smell a more complicated scent. I smelled the rich and savory aroma of the spices, I think it's similar to the scent when I first came to Le Réseau. Apart from the aroma of the spices, I can also smell a little bit of coffee. In my palate, I taste sweet and exotic spices. When swallowed, it will leave a taste similar to the taste of oak wood and some spices."

"I'm a little confused hearing your explanation, Argus. But, I heard several points from your explanation that are similar to the information I have about those whiskeys. Overall, your explanation is not bad, but it could be better. That's why I want you to learn it, not enjoy it."

"Next week I will hear your explanation again, Argus. So study it well and arrange your words properly, so it is not confusing to hear it. Irene, keep an eye on your husband." Argus's confident looks when explaining the whiskey turned into anxiety.

"Leave it to me, Mr. Nine. I will make sure he can explain better next week with this little whiskey left."

I think the explanation from Gert, Mott and Kiles will be no better than the explanation of Argus. Hopefully they can explain it like this. Although it makes me confused to hear it, I can still pick up some important points.

"Are you ready? It doesn't matter if you explain it like Argus did, you can make it better next week."

"Can I taste it first, Boss?" Gert asked me, I could see he was a little nervous.

"Of course, please. Do you guys also want to taste it again?" I asked Kiles and Mott.

"Yes, boss. I became a little nervous and forgot some things that I had to tell about the taste." Kiles and Mott also tasted their drinks.

"Hey, you cheats. I didn't taste it before explaining it." Argus protested to them.

"It's your own fault, who told you to be too cocky. Besides that, we still have lots of it left. Look at yours, it's even reduced by more than half a bottle." Gert answered.

I just smiled to see them arguing, they kept arguing like this from time to time and always trying to be better than others.

"They are sometimes like children, never grow up." Said Irene.
