The ride home

Everyone looked at Mo Kio who gave a puzzled look, "Well yeah, that's what crevettes mean."

"Oh shit." Xi Hua clasped her hands to her mouth and ran to the washrooms again. Yu Chen ran after her again. When they came out, Xi Hua was not even able to walk properly, Yu Chen had to support her. Huo Zenghai ran and supported her from the other side. Them he said, "I think it will be better if I take her home."

Yu Chen nodded. Huo Zenghai turned to Mo Kio and Si Xia and asked, "Would it be okay if we took the car and the driver?"

Mo Kio quickly answered, "Definitely. I will take Xia and Chen home." Huo Zenghai nodded, said goodbye and then supported Xi Hua out. As Yu Chen slumped back on her chair, her appetite was nearly gone. She said that she didn't want to eat anymore and Mo Kio pressed her to have something. But Si Xia knew her too well. He called the waiter and asked him to take all the food away and bring them three of the biggest ice cream sundaes they had. Though Yu Chen was still worried, but she could never say no to ice cream. So she began to slowly eat. Then Mo Kio said, "Hey Chen, what is going on between Hua and Zenghai?" Yu Chen almost spit out the ice cream she had in her mouth.

"I don't think anything is going on." she said. "The look in his face right now said something else." Si Xia said quietly. Yu Chen looked from him to Mo Kio and back. Mo Kio said pretending to look like a teenage girl, "Oh I really ship them together." "Yeah okay. Shut up. Otherwise the next one puking will be me." Yu Chen snapped. After that, no one said a word as they finished their ice creams and Mo Kio paid the bill. As they went down and Mo Kio brought the car, Yu Chen slid into the back seat as she was dead tired and also expected Si Xia to sit in the front. But to her surprise, Si Xia got in beside her. She said nothing and off they went. Mo Kio had planned to first drop off Si Xia as he would have a curfew and was talking non-stop when Si Xia hit him on the head from behind. Mo Kio looked through the rear-view mirror to see Yu Chen sleeping and Si Xia putting her head from the window to his shoulder. Si Xia them whispered, so as not to wake her up, "Get her home first." Mo Kio asked, "What about your curfew?" Si Xia did not answer, as he was tucking a loose hair behind Yu Chen's ear. Mo Kio sighed and turned the car. After some time he said, "You really love her. Don't you?"

Si Xia replied, "More than anything in the whole world." His eyes when he said this looked like stars glistening in the night sky. Mo Kio noticed tears filling up his eyes but did not comment on it. Instead he said, "Treat her like the angel she is." Si Xia only nodded as he feared that he would break down if he uttered a single word. Soon they reached Yu Chen's apartment and Mo Kio stopped the car.
