Don't you dare enter the kitchen again

Hearing this voice, Mo Kio and Si Xia turned around with smiles on their faces.

Mo Kio: "Yooo, Hua. Finally up now?"

Si Xia: "How are you doing?"

While they were distracted, Yu Chen slipped out of Xia's hands and ran upto Xi Hua. She held onto Hua's hand and said, "See, they're so cruel. They won't even let me say goodbye."

Xi Hua: "What's the time?"

Huo Zenghai: "It's a little past seven."

Xi Hua: "Whaaaattt!?!?! It's seven!?? And Chen, you're still out!!!! Kio, quickly, go throw her into her apartment."

Mo Kio: "hahahahaha....."

Yu Chen: "....."

Si Xia again came up to pick her up, which Yu Chen hurriedly dodged.

She said, "Okay fine. I'm going. Hua, you're such a traitor."

She then hugged Xi Hua and said goodbye. Turning to Huo Zenghai, Chen said, "And I assume you're going to stay here?"

Huo Zenghai nodded.

Yu Chen gave a devilish smile and said, "Go easy on her, she's injured."

This led to Zenghai and Hua's face becoming red. Xi Hua said, "Get out, Chen."

Yu Chen kissed her on the cheek, "That was payback. Stay safe. Sleep well."

Then she headed out with Kio and Xia after they had also said bye.

Mo Kio drove them to a supermarket first as Chen had promised to make them dinner.

Since the day they had gone to the police station, Mo Kio had been driving Yu Chen home after dark. Everyone had decided that it was not safe for Chen to be alone, specially after dark.

This arrangement was driving her mad, but luckily it would be over soon as Chen was going to London in a week.

The three went to her apartment and Chen asked them to sit while she cooked. But the boys insisted on helping.

After a few minutes, these were the voices could be heard from the small kitchen.

Yu Chen: "Kio, wash them properly. No, not like that. Let Xia do it, you see the soup."

Yu Chen: "Damn it Kio, the soup is burning. What the hell are you doing!?!? Go and cut up those vegetables, and don't dare to mess it up."

Yu Chen: "MO KIO!!!!! I asked you to cut the vegetables, not your own finger."

Chen sighed and put her hands on her forehead. "Get out now. Go, get it bandaged."

She then turned to Si Xia, who was frying meat in a pan. She said, "Xia, please help him. I'm afraid that this spoilt rich heir will burn down my house if left alone."

Soon, only Yu Chen was left in the kitchen. She was wearing a apron printed with sunflowers over her top and jeans. She began busying in the kitchen, humming a little tune to herself.

When Si Xia came back after patching up Kio's finger, he saw Yu Chen, hair in a ponytail, smiling and humming to herself while cooking. She was busy cutting up vegetables and would occasionally flip the meat in the pan. She had not noticed Xia, who stood at the door, watching her cooking happily.
