The five of them sat close to Hua's bed and ate as Xi Hua was propped up by pillows and was slowly eating the congee.


Huo Zenghai: "Oh my god Chen. Can I be your adopted brother. That way I will get to eat aunty's cooking everyday."


Yu Chen: "If you both get adopted, won't you technically become brother and sister?"


Mo Kio: "Yeah. Seems like that shut them up. But seriously Chen, this food is great."


Yu Chen: "I told you. My mom cooks the best in our home. After that my sister, and then lastly me."


Yu Mian: "Stop it sis. I'm not that good of a cook."


Mo Kio: "I would love to taste your cooking some day." He said, turning to Mian.


Yu Chen: "Didn't I already give you a great plan for that?"


Mo Kio looked down and blushed, as he remembered Chen had joked about him marrying Mian.


Seeing her sister acting like the mother hen, Mian tilted her head closer to Zenghai and asked, "Is sis always like this?"


Huo Zenghai whispered back, "You haven't even seen half of it. She really had a comeback for everything we say."


Yu Mian: "Is anyone able to shut her up?"


Huo Zenghai suppressed a laugh as he glanced at Si Xia sitting on other side of Mian. He said, "Xia manages that quite easily."


Mian: "I don't believe it. He is such a quiet boy."


Zenghai sighed, "Stay for a few days." He held her shoulder as though he was asking her to sacrifice her life.


Yu Mian: "...." *internally* "Seriously though, is any person in this group normal?"


Mo Kio noticed them and said, "What are you two whispering about?"


Huo Zenghai: "Oh, I was just telling Mian how nice it would be if she had a rich brother like you."


Yu Chen: "So, who wants to be a sibling of me and Mian. I should tell you, she is just as sassy as me. She just doesn't know you guys so she's quiet."


Xi Hua: "I don't think I can handle you 24*7."


Huo Zenghai: "I don't think I can handle two Chens at all."


Mo Kio: "I'm.....ummm....I'm good with only being friends."


At that moment Si Xia said something that made Mian realise that this boy was the only one who could control her sister.


Si Xia said very nonchalantly, picking up a piece of meat and putting it in Chen's bowl, "I'm trying to make Aunty Yu my mother-in-law, and Mian my sister-in-law. Why would I get adopted? If I can eat their cooking anyways?"


Yu Chen: *face blushing and eyes almost popping out of their sockets* "...."


Huo Zenghai: "Wow, you are completely on another level."


Xi Hua: "I think Xia's mind works sideways. Always thinking from an unexpected angle."


Mo Kio: *mumbling to himself* "Damn Xia. I need to get some lessons from you."


Si Xia looked at Chen, putting some more vegetables in her bowl. He said, "You need to eat more. You have gotten really thin."
