Yu Chen groggily opened her eyes and looked about her.
She saw that she was on a plane sitting on the window seat. She looked out from the window for a few minutes and recalled what had happened.
The organisation was right, she had woken up seven years later, but her memories from both the times remained. She remembered how the previous time, Si Xia had married Yuan Zuan and she was working in his company in the finance department. She also remembered the things she wished to forget the most from that lifetime. All the sleepless nights, the tears, the nightmares, seeing Si Xia with someone else, how unapproachable he had become.
Yu Chen's eyes dimmed as she remembered the things that had happened before she left. Xi Hua's injury, Mo Kio's accident.
Yu Chen had been in touch with her friends over the years, so she knew most of the tings happening there. She knew that Si Xia had opened a company with her code, she knew that Huo Zenghai was working as the CTO of Xia's company, making the code better and better. She was surprised when she heard that Xi Hua had decided to give up coding and take up medicine. She was now an intern nurse. She knew that Mo Kio... Well, that Mo Kio was still in a coma.
Yu Chen remembered all her days in London, she remembered Sam, Zach, Andrew, Jack, Darwin and Kent, who had been very good to her in London. She remembered all the friends she had made there and the experience of living in dorms. All in all, Chen remembered everything, but it was still hard for her to believe that she had not been dreaming.
So she stood up and went to the washroom. There Chen stood looking at herself in a mirror. She looked completely different from what she used to look like before she made the jump. She sti had those mesmerising green eyes, and mature smile, but her look was completely different. Yu Chen had gotten a lot thinner and had begun to wear slim fit clothes whenever she went out. Right now, Chen was wearing denim shorts, black transparent leggings and a white t-shirt. The t-shirt had a picture of Naruto on the front. She had been really fascinated by anime when she was in London, and had now watched a lot of them. Yu Chen had also been wearing a casual jacket, but it was now on her seat and there was a set of headphones around her neck. Chen wasn't surprised to see that she was still not wearing heels. Then Chen looked up again at her face. Her cheeks were now not as plump and she puffed them out a little. Then her eyes fell on her dark brown hair, which were now short, they were cut in a bob style with bangs resting on her forehead. Yu Chen's attention suddenly went to something in her hair and a shy smile formed on her lips. She was wearing the butterfly shaped clips Xia had given her.
Actually, she never really took them off. There was one clip on either side, exposing her ears which she had gotten pierced. The clips still looked the same as seven years ago as they were metallic, and the shiny diamonds had never fallen from the wings of the butterflies. Chen stroked the clips and went back to her seat as the crew were announcing that they would be arriving soon.
