Claiming....once and for all

Yu Chen's heart raced as blood rushed to her face. She saw Si Xia's deep black eyes just inches apart, his light brown hair messy and some locks falling on his forehead. A lump formed in her throat and she swallowed, even though Chen had not been eating anything.

Si Xia said in a deep voice, "So.....?"

Yu Chen snapped back and tried to calm herself and explain at the same time, "Do-Don't.... it's not like that. I've not seen my parents for such a long time, I miss them. And who knows when they will let me come back. We'll... we'll definitely go as soon as I get back."

Si Xia raised an eyebrow, he was clearly unconvinced. Yu Chen blinked her eyes as she acted cute, "Anyway, I have something for you. I brought souvenirs for all you guys."

She tried to attract his attention away.

Si Xia gave a devilish grin as his face leaned closer. He lightly pecked Chen's cheek and said, "Good. You're a great girlfriend. You're the best girlfriend."

He let go of Chen's hand as she turned around and patted her cheeks and chest, trying to calm herself.

"Damn Chen, you're 23!!! It was fine seven years ago, but do you have to get so nervous everytime he comes close!?" She scolded herself internally as Yu Chen calmed herself down.

By this time, the two had reached the ground floor. Yu Chen and Si Xia walked out of the elevator side by side as Chen took out her phone and began to message Xi Hua, asking her where they were. As the two walked through the main lobby, Yu Chen's highly sensitive girl ears picked up the receptionist on duty talking with a female employee.

Receptionist: "Hey, look at that girl President is walking with. Who do you think she is?"

Female employee: "No idea. I have never seen her here before."

Receptionist: "Do you think she could be a sister or cousin of the President?"

Female employee: "You wish. I think she is some new wannabe celebrity trying to climb into our President's bed."

Receptionist: "That does seem like it. It's going to be hilarious seeing her fail miserably."

Female employee: "Yeah. The President has never been one to be seduced by these little sluts. But he is so handsome.....!"

Receptionist: "I know right! Someday I'm going to make him look at me and fall for me."

Female employee: "Keep dreaming. If the President really does fall for someone, it will be me."

Yu Chen heard this conversation and felt a bit jealous inside. "These two want to be shown their places. I'll gladly do so." Yu Chen thought to herself as she grabbed hold of Si Xia's right hand with her left hand. All the employees along with the two gossips looked intrigued. They thought they would see a good show, the President would definitely put this little girl back in her place.

But what happened next, none of them had expected. Si Xia looked at Chen, gave a warm smile and intervined their fingers. Yu Chen decided to defeat all these employees and claim her right once and for all. She tip-toed and pecked Si Xia on the cheek.

There was a clanking noise as one of the employees dropped something. Everyone in the main lobby looked at their boss with eyes popping out of their sockets.
