We'll all go for a picnic.

"We. Are. Going. Home. You. Are. Not. Staying. Here. One. More. Minute." Hua said through gritted teeth as she pulled Chen and Zenghai with her.

Yu Chen also pulled in the other direction, "Wait Hua. Wait!!!"

"What?" Xi Hua snapped.

Yu Chen turned her gaze to Si Xia's bungalow, tears still leaking from her eyes.

"No." Hua crossed her arms. "Xia left. We saw him in a car. He isn't home anymore."

Yu Chen said nothing as she jerked herself free from Zenghai's and Hua's grasp and rushed to the bungalow.

She connected her phone to the security lock on the door and sat down with it in her hands.

Just as Hua was about to grab her, she had decided, enough was enough, Yu Chen looked at Zenghai and something in her look made Zenghai grab Hua's waist.

"Don't you dare stop me. I'll punch you to death." Hua struggled to get free.

"Do it after ten minutes." Zenghai also struggled to maintain his hold. He even received two punches, Hua seemed to have suddenly gotten unusual strength.

It was easier this time around, Yu Chen got the door open in five minutes. She then headed in, a very impressed Zenghai and a grumpy Hua following.

Xi Hua thought that Chen would go go upstairs to Xia's bedroom, but they were all greeted with ferocious barks as soon as they entered and Yu Chen followed the sound.

She followed Oreo's barks to a room that seemed to be his.

It was decorated like a doghouse and had his bed and toys. In the middle, Oreo was tied to one of the legs of his bed.

Yu Chen rushed forward and dropped to her knees. She hurriedly fumbled with the leash and untied it as Oreo lapped joyfully all around.

As soon as he was free, Oreo rushed in Chen's lap. He then tried to lick her face and caught sight of it, and his joyful manner changed abruptly.

Instead of licking, he began to whine and nudge his nose to Chen's face as she checked his neck for marks after removing the collar. Oreo had never been tied before, so he had pulled in an attempt to break free and the collar had tugged at his neck, leaving marks all over.

Chen finally got up holding Oreo in her arms. She carried him to the kitchen as he looked at her face with what looked like worry.

Hua and Zenghai silently followed.

Chen filled Oreo's food and water bowls and then stood up. But Oreo didn't even look at the food as he whined, looking at Chen.

Yu Chen sat on the floor and pulled him into his lap. She muttered, "Don't worry okay? Me and Xia are just having a little misunderstanding. It'll all be cleared up pretty soon. Then we'll all go for a picnic together, how's that sound eh?"

Oreo gave a single bark and Chen rubbed his head, "That's like a good boy. Eat now. And don't worry Xia when he comes home. Sit with him. He'll feel better..."

Chen continued to chat with Oreo as Xi Hua and Huo Zenghai quietly closed the door of the kitchen and stepped out.

They couldn't bear to intrude, the scene inside looked very personal. It was almost like a mom soothing her little kid.
