Either a gold digger or a liar.

Mr. Zao's lips curved into a huge smile as he pulled on the gloves.

The two then stood in complete silence for a minute before Zao spoke, "I wonder why aren't any taxis coming by?"

"Probably because of the cold and snow. It's not that late." Chen replied.

Zao nodded and spoke again, "I think I really will freeze to death here. But whatever, a man never goes back on his word."

But Chen did not reply. She was looking in the opposite direction as a car came into view.

"I don't think you'll have to." Chen suddenly spoke with a huge grin.

Mr. Zao was taken aback as he followed Chen's gaze and was thunderstruck upon seeing the black Rolls Royce he knew very well. "You. . .you know Mr. . . . Mr. Si?" Zao stammered.

Yu Chen suddenly realised her cover had been blown. It was good she was in a disguise.

"Not really. I know Xi Hua. Huo Zenghai's fiancee? I think I'll go and ask Mr. Si for a lift." Chen hurriedly explained before walking towards Si Xia's car.

Zao stood shocked on the pavement and watched as Yu Chen walked to Si Xia's car, exchanged a few words then got in.

He followed the car with his eyes as it drove out of view.

Mr. Zao sighed and muttered to himself as he climbed back into his own car, "So she wasn't as simple as I thought after all. Either a gold digger or a liar."

Meanwhile. . . .

Si Xia spoke with frowned brows as he drove, "Why were you still on the pavement?"

Chen shrugged, "I was waiting for a taxi."

"You could have called me." Xia spoke, getting sulky.

Chen reached over and ruffled his hair. "Don't get all sulky on me now. I didn't call you because I knew you would be too tired. You have had such a long day. And I didn't know it would take so long for a cab to come by." Chen chuckled.

Xia nodded but still continued to pout. So Chen decided to change the subject, "Where's your driver?" she asked.

Si Xia: "I sent him home."

Chen: "....." What kind of a reply was that? Why was she suddenly getting the cold shoulder?

"Aren't you going to ask me about that man on the pavement?" Yu Chen tried again.

"Why would I need to ask you? I can get his whole history if I want to." Si Xia answered, maintaining his iceberg.

Chen huffed and leaned back into her seat. She crossed her arms and pouted to show she was angry at Si Xia for treating her this way.

Xia sighed and reached over to pinch her cheek, "Don't get all sulky on me now. I'm sorry, okay? I just got really worried when Hua called me and told that you weren't home yet."

"I'm sorry too." Chen said before turning to face Si Xia, "So Hua and Zenghai went back to the apartment? Aren't they going to celebrate?"

Xia chuckled, "Oh they're going to celebrate all right. And you don't want to be there when they start."

Chen's cheeks grew red as she realised what Xia meant. She giggled and spoke, "So I assume we're going back to your place?"

"Unless you want to hear the two celebrating? Yes." Si Xia replied with a smile.
