Having fun?

She would politely reject the guys who approached with respect, telling them she had a boyfriend, but the ones who seemed a bit too full of themselves, Chen would completely roast them, so much that one cocky young man's eyes were glittering with tears by the time she was done with him.

After a couple of hours, Chen had had her fill of fun and was itching to go back home. She was missing Si Xia like crazy and wanted to face-time him so bad.

Seeing that it was still a few minutes before Mian's shift would end, Chen looked at Xi Hua, who had ran into a childhood friend. Her friend was from a rich family, obviously, and was quite a nice person. She had told that she had to babysit a nephew, though the nephew was already nineteen, and that was how she ended up in that bar.

Seeing Hua was chatting away with her friend very happily, Chen whispered in her ear, "I'm just gonna go call Xia real quick. Give me a ring when Mian gets off." Xi Hua gave Chen a smile and nodded, and Yu Chen glided off, in search of a quite corner.

She found a nice place very much to her liking at the end of a corridor, with only the fire exit behind. Chen leaned against the wall and video called him. To Chen's immense surprise, Si Xia rejected her call. She wondered what he was doing and was about to put her phone away and go back to Hua when she received a text.

It was Si Xia. 'Not having fun?' he was asking.

Chen: 'No, it is fun. Was just missing you. Busy?'

Xia: 'Yeah, a bit. I'm in a meeting right now.'

Chen: 'Don't over-work your employees. They'll run away.' She giggled as she sent this message. But Chen frowned at Xia's reply, 'Not an office meeting. And I'm very glad you're worried about my employees more than me.'

Yu Chen sent him a cute emoji and wrote, 'Aww. . . . . you know I love you and will badger you for the rest of your life to take care of yourself. But what kind of a meeting are you having so late?'

Xia: 'Really????????? Do you really love me????? You wouldn't have gone off to have fun and left me all alone and miserable if you loved me so much.' he replied with a pouting emoji.

Chen noticed that Si Xia had ignored the latter part of her message. But she did not want to press. He would tell her whenever he was ready, and it was probably nothing important anyway. She muttered to herself as Chen let out a shy smile and continued to flirt with her boyfriend.

She was so engrossed in her phone that Chen did not see a guy walk upto her. She only looked up when she heard an unfamiliar voice saying, "What is a little birdy like you doing here all alone? Are you lost little birdy?" Chen frowned as her eyes fell on a guy standing in front of her, casually leaning on the wall beside her.

"No. I was just looking for some peace and quiet. Which is quite evident I wouldn't be getting." she replied and crossed her arms.
