The Goddess of Beauty listened to the debate among the several higher gods in the council with a headache, as the soul oath of Denghis Xisi had completely split the Council of Gods into two camps.
The first camp wanted to end the alliance with the spirits and withdraw from the Battle of Biland Island.
Because Denghis Xisi had sworn an oath to the God of Justice, whose word is absolute, if Biland Island tried to harm the divine realm where the gods resided... the only path left for Denghis Xisi was death.
The gods had recruited the spirits to counter the Magic Thieves wielding the Power of Abyss, and now that these thieves no longer threatened them, there was no need to continue cooperating with the spirits.
The second camp still refused to trust Denghis Xisi, believing that only the complete eradication of Biland Island could wholly remove the threat to the divine realm.
