All we have is now.

In his office

They both entered the room together hand in hand.

Looking around Kat noticed how elegantly the room has been decorated. Grey and lavender did go well together. She could tell these paintings were expensive with only a look. When she started her venture and rented her office, it was difficult for her to manage the decoration part. Straight out of college with no money whatsoever, the only money she had was the one saved by doing part-time jobs.

Since her teens, she had a knack for knowing which people complemented each other. She helped many of her friends find their boyfriends. Things took a better turn when Marriane-The actress ruling the industry heard about her from a friend. The process of finding someone complimenting the other person is never easy. It took some time but Kat emerged victorious.

"Come, Kat, you can wait here on the sofa if you want. Here's a laptop you can use."

"Thanks. I'll check my mail then."

They both stole glances at each other every few minutes. Sometimes at the same time which was a bit awkward.

"Kat it's 7, you ready?"

"Mm"

"Do you like dancing?"

"I do but I am not like...really good. I dance sometimes to let go off the stress."

Nate took her to a bar surprising, Kat. It wasn't a normal cheap bar. The place had a dance floor right in the middle. Evidently, everyone came from a good background. She could make it out of their clothes. Observing her surroundings and reading people was an occupational hazard.

"Aren't all CEO's supposed to be upright with a poker face and no hobbies whatsoever. You brought me to this high-end bar. Makes me wonder what other surprises do you carry inside this mask of yours!"

Nate laughed "I am really sorry for not being a boring person babygirl.

So can I interest you in a dance kat?"

Staring at his eyes Kat kept her hands on his broad and sturdy shoulders whilst he kept both of his hands on her waist. Their bodies flowed rhythmically to the music. It was a slow sensual one. Circling each other once, their gazes remained locked. Nate again placed his hand on her back, her hand on his shoulder, and their free hands finally met. Together, they danced to the music, their feet in perfect sync to the beating of their hearts.

As the song progressed Kat felt carefree and allowed a small smile to form on her lips. He was perfect. Nate wore a white immaculate shirt, which balanced my dress. His eyes, blue as spring rain, were deep and irresistible. One thing was for sure… I was one lucky girl to receive a partner like him.

Hundreds of thoughts went through Kat's mind while gazing at his handsome face - He turned elegantly, his body in tune with the slow music. Yet, there was a sort of harshness to him, like he was someone who shouldn't be underestimated. She didn't quite care at the moment. Was it because she was falling in love with a boy she hardly knew? She could feel the warmth between them grow more powerful by the second. Their heartbeat was growing steadily along with it. Their dance was perfect; everything from our breathing to how our feet moved stayed in sync. She knew if by the end of this dance her breath is taken away, she would know the exact reason why.

Nate guided her across the dance floor as if they were in a dream. He kept his eyes on her, yet still, he knew exactly where to take her. Every moment, every angle seemed to be planned in advance. Nothing felt forced; she literally thought she was floating.

"Nate," I whispered, "everyone is looking at us."

He squeezed her hand slightly and smiled. "Really," he chuckled softly, "I haven't noticed."

With that, kat knew. He need not say more. My heart, my whole being was now his and his alone.

That was when she decided to let go. Let her worries, her doubts, and sorrow go. Right here, right now she was living. Nothing else seemed to matter anymore; she allowed him to take her anywhere he pleased on this dance floor. He went right, she went right. He sped up, she sped up. They became one with the song, with the dance and with each other. When the song ended the applause filled their ears. She couldn't help but smile at him. At that moment she knew he was the one for her. Because of that dance, she could see how perfect they complemented each other. And now, she was so ready for their future together.
