Kimberly, who was sitting in her part of the office she shared with her sister, sat with her head bowed and a thoughtful frown on her face as she scribbled down her thoughts on a jotter.
Earlier that morning, Star had woken her up to listen to the conversation Melanie had had with her husband, Alvin, in her office the previous day. After her discovery about Melvin's birthdate, she could vaguely guess that Melanie had been pregnant while her husband had been alive, and then from the conversation between Melanie and her husband, it was obvious that Melanie had no idea what had happened to her kids. The big question now was, 'Why?'
Kimberly sighed as she looked down at her jotter and realized that she had drawn a Venn diagram, trying to connect everything they knew so far about the case. The Venn diagram consisted of everyone involved in what happened twenty-seven years ago and what each person knew.
