Solstoce Moon. Five foot four, 102 pounds, sixteen years old, female.
She wasn't anything special, just another auburn haired, green eyed girl in the 11th grade. She didn't talk much but when she did, her voice was soft and cautious.
She sat in the back of the class, the desks around her unclaimed except for mine, right in front of her.

No one really understood what had happened until about two days after the fact.
Solstice's seat went empty from then on until two months later when an exchange student from Korea arrived.
All of the sudden, everyone wanted around that seat. It was the center of attention, light in the darkness, the sun against the moon.
