The Gall

I looked at the soup like it had murdered my mother ' That was too much pain, how real are we trying to go for here Dev team!' but I could taste it and my belly was actually filling up. I dived into the soup like a rabid animal.

"Slow down there kid! We do have plenty more" Grandma Ling said to me whilst laughing.

"Hahaha sorry, the hungry took over me" I smiled whilst scooping another spoonful, whilst Grampa Ling was telling Grandma about me claiming the mountain.

I leaned back in my seat and stared at the bowl 'This…..this is ridiculously too real…..I'm going to be rich!!' I could feel a tear rolling down my cheek.

"Are you okay kid?" Grandpa Lin said to me upon seeing the tears coming out my eyes.

"Yeh! I'm okay! It just this is the best meal I've had in a really long time…..thank you very much for dinner" I replied whilst wiping away my cheeks.

"I'm glad you liked it dear, as a growing young man, you really should eat more! I'll pack away some for you take on your journey" Grandma said whilst cleaning up the table.

"Do you have a place to stay tonight?" I looked at Grandpa as he said this 'Time to head, I guess' "You can stay with us dear, I could use the help going into town and selling the chives tomorrow"

"Thank you offer but I do have a place to stay, so thank you very much for the meal" I left the house after saying goodbye to Ling's and began walking towards to the forest under the setting sun. 'I need to see the sun setting'

After walking up a hill, I looked at the purple and orange sky that was extending past the mountain range. I squatted down, picking up some coarse dirt from ground in my hands, letting it fall to the ground as I raised my hand.

I brushed my hands and tried to log out.

I frowned and try again.

I tried again.

I tried once more.

" What is going? Is this another bug? Maybe I can't log off due to that mission….This is beyond rough!I'm going to kill those guys"

Yue Lei sat underneath a moonlight window drinking a glass of wine, whilst starting a raging fireplace. 'That little kid actually ran away… when I catch him, I'll teach him a lesson he'll forget...hehe'

"My Lord, the shadow guards can't find the young boy… what are your next orders?"

Yue Lei smiled as she looked out of the window, taking another sip of her wine ' I wonder how far this little kid thinks he can run?' She turned around and stared at her right hand man; Ren " Continue looking for him, he shouldn't have gone far, he'll most likely be in one of the surrounding villages, if you can't find him the town."

Chen bowed and firmly grasped his fist.

'To think I would come across such cheeky interesting brat in this remote land... heh…. What was that light? How had he come down from the sky? There's too many questions to be asked …. urgh he was so pitifully weak though, it doesn't make sense.'

Yue Lei poured another glass of wine ' His eyes! It's his eyes that bother me the most…. I've never seen such jade eyes…. he was such a pretty boy though, maybe I'll keep him around as a statue or maybe a feather boy' She let out a wide grin whilst swirling her wine. "You may leave"

Chen watched his master with worried gaze, quickly bowed and left the room ' Just wait till I find you brat! I'll beat you to a pulp! Nobody does this to my master and get away with it!...Master doesn't even bow to the kings of these lands and this brat! Had the gall to touch her and call her a bug! I will skin this kid alive for master and present him as a trophy.' `
