The sound of swords filled the air as Yao Yue and Tian Ying clashed their swords together. Two days have passed since their initial day of falling into the Leng Yue Tian Yi Cave and their practice to master the Tian Jian Mo Wu Swordplay. During that time, Yao Yue had greatly improved her ability to wield her sword but at the same time. She was even able to withstand a few strikes from Tian Ying when they decided to spar with each other. But even with her fast learning and quick improvements, it still seemed a bit impossible for Yao Yue to master the Mo Wu Swordplay in a short amount of time as she was still a beginner to swords.

"You guys seem to be doing pretty well." Came the voice of Tian WuLai as he walked into the cavern. "You're improving much faster than I expected."

Both Yao Yue and Tian Ying bowed their heads. "Thank you for your compliment." they said in unison, surprising each other.

Tian WuLai smiled. "Although you've not yet fully mastered the Tian Jian Mo Wu Swordplay, I believe you're both ready to begin practicing on the door-"

Before he could finish, a loud splash of water sounded in the other area of the cave. Curious of what was going on, they all walked out to see what had happened. Almost immediately, both Yao Yue and Tian Ying were greeted by two masked figures. One of them was wielding a sword, the other a spear. Tian Ying and Yao Yue barely had the time to block the attack with their swords before a fight broke out.

The masked man wielding the sword swung at Tian Ying, who blocked it before pushing him off of him. Tian Ying swung at him, trying to at least injure his attacker but he just blocked the attack back. Their abilities seemed to be of similar levels as neither of them could overpower the other. The pattern of attack and block continued

On the other hand, Yao Yue was struggling against her attacker. With every attack from the spear, she attempted to block it. It was clear that she was refusing to hurt him, much to the delight of her attacker. With every strike it became more ferocious, to the point where Yao Yue's sword was knocked out of her hands. As she had nothing else to defend herself with, she crossed her arms and cast a shielding spell on them. She winced as she felt the impact of the spear against her shield, taking a step down from its force.

"So you're the Mo Sect disciple that the young master wrote about," her attacker sneered under his mask. "But you surely don't seem to be as great as you were described! In fact, you're just a weakling who doesn't know anything but to defend!"

Yao Yue ignored his taunt, focusing on her magic to keep the shield up. She held her concentration, ignoring the heat from the medallion on her stomach and trying her best to push against the spear's head so she could stand up and overpower the man. Tian Ying on the other hand had his attention diverted to see what was happening, causing there to be an opening for his own attacker to land a blow. The masked man pulled his sword off of Tian Ying's and aimed to slash at his abdomen.

But at that moment Tian WuLai entered into Tian Ying's body, taking over it and blocking the attack. Being a much more experienced swordsman, Tian WuLai easily overpowered the masked attacker. With every strike he caused the attacker to take a step back, up to the point he had cornered him and knocked his sword out of his hands.

"Who are you, and what is your purpose here?" Tian WuLai demanded through Tian Ying's body.

The masked man didn't answer and only smiled under his mask. He stealthily pulled out a small throwing knife from his sleeve and threw it towards Yao Yue. It cut her leg, causing it to break the concentration on her spell. Her shield broke, causing the spear to enter one of her arms. She immediately let out a cry in pain as her attacker pulled the spear out of her arm.

"Die, you failure of the Mo Sect!" he cried as he aimed for another attack.

Yao Yue immediately caught the blade in her hands before it could pierce her chest, and struggled as she fought against the force of her attacker. Using all the strength she had, she quickly pushed the blade away from her chest and let it stab into the ground below. The masked man immediately lost his balance from the sudden change in direction, allowing Yao Yue to make a move. She raised her hand and brought it down on his shoulder, knocking her attacker out cold.

Tian WuLai watched all of it happen from the corner of Tian Ying's eyes before pointing Tian Ying's sword closer to Tian Ying's attacker. But then his attacker's eyes rolled back, and his body went limp. He has just bit his tongue to commit suicide.

Tian WuLai let out a sigh before finally removing himself from Tian Ying's body. "You could have died if I hadn't been there." he scolded Tian Ying. "It doesn't matter what situation you're in, you must focus on your target, and not let yourself be distracted."

Tian Ying immediately bowed his head. "Thank you for scolding me."

They both turned to look at Yao Yue, who was pulling the throwing knife out of her leg. She threw it off to the side before grabbing the spear to help her get up.

"Sect Leader WuLai," she called, glancing over at her unconscious attacker. "Do you have any rope?"
