"I don't like it" "I like it"

Lisa wondered why the atmosphere around Tom was suddenly becoming weird and awkward.

After the compulsory hug earlier, he had opened the front seat for her and asked her to sit and relax for a while, while he remained outside the car.

She watched him relax his body leisurely, sitting sideways on the car's bonnet. His hands were inside his pocket and his eyes were looking up at the sky. Inside his mouth, he had a lollipop and she began to wonder where he always hid it since she hadn't seen him with it earlier.

He was pretty, no doubt. At least she said the truth whenever she saw it. And she did appreciate looking at attractive men sometimes.

But there was something about him. It seemed like there was more to him than he was letting out. It seemed like the perfect life everyone thought he had was only a façad.

Was she feeling sad for him? Looking at him right now, why was she thinking about herself?
