"Here it is, young lady."
Cara selected the correct key from the bunch and pushed it into the lock, before twisting the handle.
"Are you alright, huh?"
The old woman was still not satisfied with Renna's previous response, thus she kept on nagging her until they walked at the end of the street.
"Yes, yes aunt. Stop nagging me, I'm all fine. See..."
Renna stretched and flung open her arms, to show Cara that she was already fine.
She wanted to yell at her to stop her repeated questions but as the young lady had never experienced such warmth of love.
And Cara was giving off motherly vibes to Renna, thus the young heiress did not want to step over her boundaries. Therefore, she chose to show her for once that everything was fine with her rather just yelling out of disrespect.
"Ah! Good, good."
The door finally opened as Cara replied to Renna, while her eyes were still fixated on the lock.
Mr Morris must have pondered that why the heck Renna Amaryllis, put up such a weak act?
She was the same lady who kicked the butts of those goons all by herself, pretended to be a dumb woman as she jumped in front of the cart.
'Why did she jumped in the front, she knew that it could hurt her and comparatively her previous behaviour....ugh! I'm unable to comprehend why she did that...that act!?'
Old Morris was immersed into his owm thoughts while his zoned out yet focused eyes were on Renna.
The three of them strode inside as Cara pushed the door and a gust of dust flew to their opposite direction.
"Ugh! It seems we need to do so much stuff here, to make it worth living."
Cara coughed hard as the specks of dust filled her nostrils like poisonous air, well, it was no less than bacterial.
"It is okay, I will do that on my own aunt. Do not worry about that, I have already troubled you guys so much."
Renna gestured with her hand and shook her head in a big no while she spoke up immediately.
The lady knew that Cara and her husband must not stay around her, it would bring them nothing but calamity and wrath of the mafia king.
"Aye! No, no. We are fine with helping you. Right, Morris?"
Cara searched for the lights as she walked ahead of them but Renna's words made her halt.
The old woman haphazardly stopped her search for the buttons board and turned towards Renna, as she again proposed the idea of help.
"Ah! No, absolutely not aunt. You had already done more than enough for me, for a stranger. I'm thankful for that but I will be fine on my own now."
Renna approached Cara amd held her both hands, while she tried her best to shoo off the couple before anything reached her.
"Okay, if you are saying so. Let's go Morris, and do not you thank me, young girl."
Cara gestured her husband and chirped with a fake anger towards Renna, upon her 'thank you'.
The moment did not slide that Renna felt she might have gone far in driving her out, but then Cara winked playfully as she spoke in a whisper.
"I'm just extra generous!"
Renna could not help but to giggle yet the phrase remindes her one more memory of the past.
How Ronan Ross was generous enough to give her so called love, which turned into a poisonous cage!
Renna could remember the moment she took the vow from Ronan Ross and the man agreed that he would leave the mafia world.
Which did not happen.
Could that be a stimulus for the heiress to let her death become an actual death, which forced her to become Renna Amaryllis from Amaris?
She could have insisted upon her proposition rather just leaving him.
Right?
Yes?
Yes, she did that.
"Tch! Wouldn't Kyril Ross send some other person rather that sturdy man, that stupid nearly crushes me and also wasted all the apples!"
After Cara and her husband were gone and the door closed behind Renna, the lady walked up to the lounge and switched on the lights.
She pulled the dusty white cloth off from the sofa, which had gotten grey and black smears. The lady plopped down in the sofa and recalled the man with the cart, inwardly she cursed Kyril Ross.
But how did Renna Amaryllis recognize that it was her 'contact'?
Of course, it was not hard for her to recognize the expensive and polished shoes beneath the tattered gown, of the man.
As the man approached her, Renna could see that his nails had the soft sheen of recent manicure, thus, he was her 'contact' sent by Kyril Ross.
But here I ask you again, how did Ronan Ross recognized Renna Amaryllis as Amaris?
How did he see through her so called disguise?
The mafia king was aware of that there were so many women out there having Amaris' face, then how did he recognized the original one?
Or was he still suspicious and perhaps that's why he had executed the plan to abduct her, right away when he would set his foot on the land of the USA!
