Choi Sang-wook

"Go on and tell me about it. I promise Tan won't hear about it," Mrs. Kim said in her most gentle tone.

Mi-Cha considered it for a while. She knew she could trust and count on their mother; besides, if everything went as planned, Nana could end up becoming part of the family.

"Tan hired Min-Jung to be his girlfriend," Mi Cha said and waited to hear her mum's reaction.

"Ok, go on," Mrs. Kim said. She would process the complete information after the call.

"Just that? You're not surprised?" Mi Cha asked, feeling disappointed.

"I honestly can't say I am. I had suspected so from the beginning. To think the length he went just to prove he was dating her, tsk tsk. Go on," Mrs. Kim said, shaking her head.

"It's all complicated," Mi Cha said, not knowing how to start explaining everything.

"Sweetheart, I am complicated. Tell me everything. This is going to be very interesting," Mrs. Kim said with a smile.

Mi-Cha exhaled deeply before she began to explain.

"Mum, I can't tell you everything right now. I just excused myself from a meeting to answer your call. How about I call you at night?" She asked.

"Hold on. Before you leave, can you at least answer two questions? My poor heart can't wait till evening to know," She said in a forced faint voice, making Mi Cha roll her eyes.

"Ok, what are they?" She asked curiously.

"Is she an escort or a realtor? And what's her real name?" Mrs. Kim asked, taking out a pen and a jotter.

"That's why I said it is complicated... but she's a realtor, and her real name is Lee Nana." She answered.

"Ok then, that's fine. I'll be waiting to hear from you in the evening. I love you, darling," She said as she scribbled Nana's name on the jotter.

"I love you too, mum," Mi-Cha said, hanging up the call. She turned to see CEO Choi Sang-Wook, behind her. She didn't like being snuck up on, but there was no way she was going to tell that to her new boss.

He was the CEO of the JK modeling agency, which was a subsidiary of the JK Group.

"I was looking around for you," He said with a big grin, not caring that she had just caught him eavesdropping on her call.

She felt like slapping the grin off his face. "Is there something I can help you with?" She asked, giving him a polite but stern look that told him she was being polite because he was her boss.

"I was thinking maybe we could get lunch together, and I noticed you haven't eaten all day," He said calmly.

She didn't need anyone to tell her he was a womanizer. It was written all over him. He had been subtly trying to hit on her since she had set foot in the company.

She had noticed how almost all the other models flocked around him like bees on honey. He was very handsome, with a stylish haircut and brown eyes that reminded her of Min-jun, and he was well-built too. He seemed to be in his late twenties or early thirties.

"That's thoughtful of you. I was just about to leave," She said politely, and then she noticed some of the other models from before were giving her mean looks as they passed by.

"Where are you going to? How about I be your driver for today?" He asked, eager to please her. That should get her.

"With all due respect, I'll love to keep pleasure out of our business. And I'll appreciate it if you keep your distance. I'm not comfortable with the attention you're giving me," She said and walked away.

She had signed a contract with the company and not with an individual, and she was under no obligation to be friends with her boss.

Choi Sang-Wook watched her as she walked away with a wide grin on his face. He liked her. He really liked her guts and the fact that she wasn't sucking up to him.

Nana couldn't help thinking about her suspicions. She could do something about it though. If Mi Cha were indeed a model, as she had said, then information about her would be on the internet.

She quickly typed Mi Cha's name on the internet, and her pictures came up. She smiled as she checked out the photos, momentarily distracted by Mi Cha's style and beauty.

She noticed her name was Kim Mi Cha, although there was no information on her family. It all certainly couldn't be a coincidence.

She had no doubt they were related, but when did Mi Cha return to Seoul? How much longer was Tan going to hide behind Mi Cha? How had he found her so soon? Was Min-jung aware that Tan already knew about her whereabouts? She would have to confide in Min-jung about it or wait until Tan approached her before telling Min-jung anything.

"Someone is here to see you," Mr. Sly called from his seat, making her look up. She smiled when she saw Mi Cha. She had liked Mi Cha naturally the first time she had met her, but she seemed to like Mi Cha more now that she knew she was Tan's sister.

"Hello, Nana. I'm here to seal our business and pick up my phone," Mi Cha said pleasantly.

"Please sit down. How're you?" Nana asked in an extra friendly manner that had Mi Cha looking at her suspiciously. Nana was almost tempted to laugh.

"I'm fine, and you?" She asked, wondering what was up. Was it possible she had found out? Had she recognized Tan's voice?

"I'm very fine too. Thanks for last night," Nana said as she handed Mi Cha her phone and brought out the other documents.

Mi Cha watched Nana closely, wondering what was up with her. "It's nothing. Thanks for calling my brother... I was really worried sick about it until he told me you called," She said, wanting to see Nana's reaction.

Nana maintained a blank face. "Anyone would have been worried. If I hadn't been very occupied last night, I probably would have noticed it earlier. I'm sorry," She said deliberately, leaving out the part about being drunk.

"Your brother has a lovely voice, by the way. I would love to meet him one of these days," Nana added casually.

"I'll let him know," Mi Cha said with a smile. Of course, Nana didn't know it was Tan. They had been worried over nothing.

Mrs. Kim handed over a sheet of paper with Lee Nana's name to Choi Min-Jun. "I want to know about her. Make it a top priority."

"Yes, ma'am."
