"I Can't Trust Anyone..."

Nana sat beside Tan's bedside with a pensive expression on her face as she watched him after Mr. Kim had managed to convince his wife to step out with him to get lunch.

She held Tan's hand without taking her eyes off his face. The longer she sat there watching him sleep, the angrier she felt over everything.

"He will be fine," Mi Cha reassured her quietly with a sigh.

"Of course, he will," Nana nodded her head in agreement before looking down at her phone, which was vibrating. She had placed it on vibration mode because she didn't want to disturb Tan's rest.

She remembered he had said he needed to rest earlier that morning before they had gone to the beach, but that now seemed like a memory away. She thought with a sigh. She was sure this wasn't the kind of rest Tan had been talking about. Thinking of that, she felt angry all over again, especially when she heard him groan lightly in his sleep.
