2: Isla del Fuego

It was a fine day on the island--- perfect for a wedding day. Since it's an intimate affair, they chose to do it in his vast garden. There was a trail of white and red roses leading to a gazebo painted in white and gold in the middle of a shallow pond where koi fish and purple water lilies thrived. The sweet scent of flowers filled the air. It's 5 am and their wedding was set at 10.

'Whoah! Money does have power!' Arabella thought as she watched the servants prepare the ground for their 'wedding'. Then, she heard a knock on her door.

"Ms. Smith, your dress is ready! May I come in?"

She immediately recognized the voice. It's their wedding planner, Kayla--- a glamorous woman in her early thirties. Since day one, it was apparent that she wasn't so happy helping her out. As a matter of fact, she caught her rolling her eyes at her when Luke introduced her as his bride.

"Please come in..." Arabella said as she opened the door for her and the gay stylist who was holding her white dress.

The stylist named Jasper started making magic on her. He was putting Arabella's make up on when one of the servants came with Saraknib crying aloud after sucking his thumb.

She apologized to Jasper, who nodded understanding the situation and Kayla, who flashed a fake smile before cradling his son in her arms. She sat down on the rocking chair Luke bought as she breastfed him. Kayla puckered her lips while looking at her wristwatch and sighed harshly.

"Uhm... Jasper, I think you can fix my hair while I breastfeed my baby to save time," Arabella said.

"Hmmm... I think we can do that," he replied as he grabbed his stuff and walked to them.

"Your baby is very lucky to have a mom who's willing to breastfeed him. You know... most moms or mom to be who I've worked with... don't wanna breastfeed coz they're more concerned about how they would look after," Jasper said while twisting and curling her hair.

"Thanks... I just want to give him the best," Arabella replied.

"What if you won't be appealing to Luke anymore? I mean... sexually," Kayla asked while curling her hair with her index finger.

Arabella just kept quiet. It was so obvious that Kayla was against their 'marriage' by the way she handled things without any sense of enthusiasm. Moreover, she's extra sweet whenever Luke was around and turned cold when he's not.

'If only she knew...' she thought.

"Ta-da!" Jasper exclaimed when she finally finished putting on her wedding dress. Yep--- dress! It was a simple white lace sleeveless dress. It had a sweetheart neckline that emphasized her rounded bust. She shyly looked at her reflection in the mirror.

From her makeup to her clothes were simple, yet elegant. Her hair was in a beautiful updo while some curly loose bangs cascaded on the frame of her face, her smokey eyes looked enchanting and her pink lips were sensual.

The only accessories she wore were a pair of pearl drop earrings and a hair clip designed with tiny white myrtles that complimented her bouquet of myrtles and budding white roses.

Then, a classic love song was played--- Born for you by David Pomeranz.

"Get ready," Kayla ordered without looking at her while she put on her glass shoes. Yeah--- just like Cinderalla, all of these are temporary!

The whole thing felt surreal when she started walking down the aisle and everyone was looking at her. They were smiling but she knew that behind those smiles, questions of who she was or where she came from were running through their minds.

Then, came the vow.

"Since it is your intention to enter into the covenant of Holy Matrimony, join your right hands, and declare your consent before God and his Church," the priest said.

Luke held her cold trembling hand and squeezed it lightly. She wasn't sure whether it was to comfort her or to remind her that it's too late to back out.

" I, Luke Suzuki Adams, take you, Arabella Diaz Smith, for my lawful wife, to have and to hold, from this day forward, for better, for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health, until death do us part," Luke said without taking his eyes off of hers. She swallowed before speaking.

"I, Arabella Diaz Smith, take you, Luke Suzuki Adams, for my lawful husband, to have and to hold, from this day forward, for better, for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health, until death do us part," she said trying so hard to calm herself.

They looked at each other for a long time when the priest asked them to seal their marriage with a kiss after putting each other's ring.

"Hey, Luke. The priest said kiss not stare!" Owen shouted which made everyone burst in laughter.

Luke shrugged and before she knew it, he was claiming her lips. It started light until it deepened. Then, she jolted when he hugged her tight.

"What's wrong?" he asked worriedly while loosening his embrace.

Arabella bit her bottom lip in nervousness before whispering in his ears.

"My... uh... Saraknib hasn't eaten... well, so..." she said while shuddering in pain.

Luke got the point and said whispered back, "Oh! You mean your boobs are full of milk?"

Arabella blushed and nodded.

"Anything I can do to help?" he teased.

With her eyes wide open, she pinched his waist which made him twitch in slight pain as he chuckled. There was a loud "Ooooooooh!"

"Hey... honeymoon can wait!" Shane shouted as they shared an embrace with their eyes closed. People cheered when Luke stole a kiss before facing the photographer.

On the outside, they looked like love birds, so attracted to each other. And if anyone suspected their relationship before the wedding, they must be convinced by now.

At the reception, all the guests seemed to be familiar with one another as they chatted away while eating. There were just a hundred of them mostly from SB and his business associates, except for Brad's family and the Mcknight brothers and their girlfriends, Tamara and Keira, whom Luke considered his closest friends and family.

Luke trusted them so much that they were the only ones who knew the true nature of their relationship.

And Arabella hated herself for immediately falling into the warmness of Luke's inner circle.
