I am lost?

"Extraordinary, this must be a new discovery!"

"Wha-what is this, look at the smooth texture how is it possible!"

"I must write this all down"

"Oh no I am running out of pages to write on"

Exclamations of a surprises followed intense scribbling noises could be heard as a youth with burning eyes wanted to document everything he was seeing.

He must have been sent to another plane one that is so far unrecorded, never had he seen so many new things.

A large boar the size of a bear had appeared, at first seemingly simply a very large specimen of a Quilboar it had suddenly breathed fire on a large rock after which it started to chomp on the half melted boulder.

Another time a plant that seemingly glowed with golden light was guarded by a giant albino snake that was able to conjure and project icicles against some curious monkeys.

Even the very air here felt different, it was all, all so very much exciting.

Only fifty-three planes were discovered and recorded thus far, but it was a great accomplishment and honor in the wizard community to find a new plan of existence. Seeing as no new discoveries had been done for at least four thousand years, he was bound to become famous.

The only problem now was...how am I suppose to get back when no stable portal was made to get here and I have no idea where I ended up.

It was a sad fact as the only reason he had escaped the previous explosion was that he had used a wish scroll left by that old hag. He had promised himself never to use it and become a demigod as quickly as possible to escape her evil grasp.

Far, far away in another plane of existence a shockingly beautiful woman was leading an army of beasts to battle against a horde of demons.

"Achoo, who dares insult this lady." Sniffling her cute little nose the lady cursed as she turned towards the incoming horde.

Now what was he to do perhaps the best would be to cast the oracle spell and look for intelligent life forms?

"Ha ha ha, well look here boys a little young master seems to have lost himself in the woods" A course voice said as several men wearing leather armour stepped out from behind a couple of trees.

"Bandits?" Richard exclaimed with delight.

Thankfully he had brought a necklace of translation in his satchel and decided to wear it upon realizing that he was in an unknown plane, so he could understand what they were saying and they could understand him.

"Bandits? No no no, were not bandits were simply some kind uncles that happened upon a rough spot."

"Right, boss the little kiddie should share some wealth to the less fortunate in the world."

"Yeah, how about you just kindly give us everything you own, and you know what that robe looks quite fancy and really not your size so why don't you just hand it over to us and we'll take you to a nice place, he he."

With knitted eyebrows Richard looked at the men who seemed overly confident in their numbers. He was after all a pseudo ninth tier wizard. Numbers could only do so much and he couldn't sense a smitten of mana gathered in or on any of them.

"Look here, I am a wizard so I would suggest you keep your greedy paws out of my way or there will only be excruciating pain in your foreseeable future. On second thought I demand that the bunch of you lead me to the nearest town if you know whats good for you." Richard said as a matter of fact.

Silence filled the area as the men who normally kindly removed everyone of their possessions, sold them into a nice life of servitude for the rest of their life or simply sent people on their merry way to meet Yama. Were stumped at how this young master who seemingly had his nose held high up in the air made threats and demands against them.

"Good, good, good looks like the little sprout is looking for a beating, Gu Jie teach him a lesson, also what is a wiz-ard? Looking at your movements from earlier and young age even though you look rich you haven't become a cultivator." Steam seemed to rise from the head of the one who was the apparent leader as his face started to smile coldly as he continued talking.

One of the men most likely Gu Jie started to approach Richard who was calm about the whole situation.

"Heh, well let me show you what a wizard is all about." With a confident voice Richard raised his right hand and formed his finger together as if he was about to make a loud snap.

"It's to late for regrets now, I'll show mercy however and only let you fools get a couple of burns!"

All the bandits felt cold sweat upon their back as if something extremely dangerous was about to happen and their instincts told them to run for it!

With a snap of his finger, a toned down version of the conflagration spell was used on all of them, it had taken a long time of practice to time the snap of a finger with the voiceless incantation used for the spell. However it was well worth the effort as the effect was very cool and theatrical, many wizards had complimented him on its use.

The only bad part about it was the scream the victims of the spell and the smell of burnt flesh.

Unfortunately for Richard none of the above happened as he was simply left standing there looking as a fool snapping his fingers while a bunch of rough looking men covered for no apparent reason.

"You, you, you, your making a fool out of us!" Seeing as nothing happened the leader instantly regained his aggression.

'Wait what, why isn't it working?' Snap, snap, snap, no matter how he snapped his fingers or used the spells incantation nothing seemed to work. This was one of his stable spell runes why didn't it work? Had something happened during the experiment the-

Lost in his thoughts and trusting in the many protections enchantments the robe he was wearing carried he choose to ignore the bandits, which led to the one called Gu Jie having quickly approached him and hitting him square in the face.

Richard started to feel dizzy and confused at why nothing seemed to be going his way at the moment. A taste of iron filled his mouth while a throbbing pain lingered across his face.

"Hmph, look at this kid trying to act all high and mighty. He probably saw some immortal use a talisman and thought he could scare us away if he acted like he had one." Gu Jie told his boss.

Happy at the fact that nothing out of the ordinary had happened and they could probably gain a fair amount of taels from such a young pretty boy they failed to notice Richard rummaging through his satchel.

'If this doesn't work then I don't know what to do' Richard thought to himself as he found what he was looking for.

Removing a scroll from his satchel he quickly unfurled it while voicing the name of the spell.

"Sunfire."

With Richard as the epicenter a great globe of fire spread out to cover a radius of up to a hundred meters. The laughing bandits along with everything within that area turned to ash, while some tree's outside of the spells effective area were set ablaze by the heat wave it produced.

Seeing as the necklace of translation was still working, he had guessed the other items he had brought with him in the satchel might still work but why couldn't he cast any spells?
