Forget Him

"I am sorry for the disturbance. Please, meal on the house today" the manager said with a bright smile.

"Thank you, but you really don't have to" Dean replied her.

"No I insist, I bet your girl friend here would love one of her snacks then" she gestured towards Queen.

Queen smiled at her back and said, "Thanks a lot, I would take you up on your offer, but can I get it as a take away? I don't want to be here for now."

"I understand, I'll have a waiter attend to you. Now if you'll excuse me, I have to get back to my office. Do enjoy your meal."

She turned and headed straight for a door, written boldly on it was an inscription 'Staff Only'.

In a matter of seconds, a waitress rushed towards them and took down their orders, then disappeared to the counter.

~Empress and Lisa's Apartment~

Empress entered their apartment and threw her shoes and bag on the ground, then sat down on the couch enervated from the day.

Lisa stood at the doorway stared at her friend. "Is this what love could do to someone? Its not fair, all she wants is for someone to love her back, is that too much for her to ask?" She thought.

She let out a sigh and walked up to Empress, then sat down beside her friend, she pulled her in and hugged her tight. "Let it out Em, I'm here, you've got me." She consoled her friend.

Tears rolled down Empress's face as she cried her heart out. I'm tired Lisa... Hic... Hic... Why won't any guy love me? Why is it so hard? What is wrong with me?" She asked in between sobs.

Lisa released her from her embrace and held her shoulders, "Hey, babe! Nothing is wrong with you, you are pretty, lovely, fun to be with... "

"Then why don't they see it?"

"That's because they are too dumb and dense to notice what a rare gem you are. It's their loss, and I am glad that you didn't follow any of them losers, they lost you."

"Then why are you happy?"

"Em, because when they realize what a great person you are, it would be too late by then and you will find the right guy, making all of them sore losers jealous. And as for that conniving bitch, she's going to get what coming for her. I would tell her the history of her life when next I see her."

Empress's lips arched up, forming a small smile, she used her index fingers to brush off the tears in her right eye. "Thanks Lisa."

"Silly girl, what about this eye, you want one to be flooded with tears? Let me help you." She brushed off the tears with her fingers and pulled her beat friend unto her lap. "There, rest okay. You'll be fine. Sleep and forget him. Forget him, he isn't worth your time."

"Lisa... Thank you, please can you massage my forehead, I got an headache."

"Alright, anything for you" she replied Empress.

~Benard's Bar~

Lily sat at a corner of the counter and drank to her hearts content. She swayed the bottle in her hands and rested it on her hand lazily. She lifted the bottle and took a mouthful of its content in one gulp.

"Damn that stupid Dean. How dare he break up with me!" She muttered to herself. "All because of that wench, no guy as ever broken up with me and he did so to he with her."

A guy walked into the bar and went over to the counter. He took a glance at her and placed his order. "One beer please."

She took a look at him from head to toe and back up. He was six foot tall, had a messy brown hair and hazel eyes. His face was a perfect V–shape, with his long pointed nose and small lips.

His body was well built, flat stomach and nice chest, her eyes seemed to be spinning in their sockets as she took him in. Nevertheless she got up from her seat with her purse in one hand and bottle in the other.

Her legs wobbled with each step she took, bumping into the bar seat as she made her way to where he stood.

"Hey, Handsome!!"
